Just like any utopian society, the government has done something for the humans in order to make their life better. In this era, scientists have created the dreams of the people. The people are implanted with a chip that allows the person to have only one dream when they sleep, in order to keep them from have bad dreams and to keep them from being afraid. Not a big deal really, almost like a programming that makes a person have one specific dream over and over again every night. Usually a good dream, and sometimes you'll see someone else with the same dream which could sometimes mean it was your soul mate but that was very seldom.

Of course, as in every government we've had in this world, you have a few who dream a different dream nearly every night. Those are called Free Dreamers, and they aren't a threat; until those Free Dreamers discover just why they were implanted with chips to prevent dreams.

"Mikasa I had the strangest dream last night. I-"

"Eren I'm worried about you." Mikasa stated rather aggressively. Eren raised an eyebrow at the shorter girl.

"What ever could you mean?" He asked.

"I mean your sanity. I mean, every day you're telling me of a different dream. One day you say that you you had a strange dream, the next you say you had a funny one. One day it's scary, another it's just perfect. Eren, I don't think these are dreams. I think you might be having visions or something. You should honestly get checked out."

"You sir are completely sane." The doctor said with a smile. "I think that you are simply just a Free Dreamer, and there is nothing wrong with that."

"Thank Marc-"

"Test him again." Mikasa persisted. Doctor Marco laughed a bit and shook his head.

"Of course, and if anything changes I'll call you. I don't think there is anything to be worried about though, so you're free to go." The two bid their goodbyes to Marco and left the building. Eren turned to Mikasa.

"What the hell? He told me that I'm a FD, why can't you just accept that?" He asked and Mikasa looked down at the ground. Eren softened his tone. "What is it Mika?"

"I'm going to be a Dream Maker." She said quietly, almost as if she was afraid to say it.

"That's great!" Eren said with a smile. Mikasa looked up at him. "I'm proud of you sis! Armin will be glad that you'll be in the same building as him. He loves his job!" Eren exclaimed, allowing Mikasa to smile a bit.

"I suppose you're right. I want to make sure you can be cured. I'll see into the science of it." Mikasa said with a determined look. Eren cleared his throat and nodded. He knew that he wouldn't win this. Mikasa was like most, they believed that people who had different dreams were mental. The two went their separate ways and later that night, Eren had a different dream, but this time it was different from the different dreams he normally had. There was someone else there too.

The room was completely white, and had a sterile smell about it. Normally dreams didn't have a smell, but Eren was sure his brain was just making it up along with the dream itself. He ventured further into the room, noticing the large white baby grand piano that was situated in the room. There wasn't a speck of dust on it. Eren had deducted that he was in a house by now, so he went further into the kitchen which was completely white as well. I

It was when he turned to his right, that he seen someone else. They were sipping a white liquid from a white cup, on a white couch, in white pants, white shirt, white belt, white shoes. The only thing that contrasted from his snow white skin was his pitch black hair. His face was blury, his features slightly distorted into a sense that no one could recognize him.

"I hope your shoes are clean." The man said as he set his cup down on a white glass table. "The white, it shows all impurities you know. Wouldn't want to make a mess." He felt around for something, not looking down at anything and just staring straight ahead. He then picked up a small camera. "Where are you?"

"I'm over here." Eren said, but the man didn't react. Eren then walked over to in front of the raven haired man. "I'm directly in front of you."

"Ah, well look at the camera then." He said, and Eren did so. The man snapped a photo quickly. "I bet that's a good picture."

"If you don't mind, why did you take a picture of me?" Eren questioned, taking a seat on the crisp white chair, hesitant about getting it dirty.

"When I'm in a dream, I'm blind. I can't see anything. I don't know why, or how, but when I take a picture I can usually see who was in my dream, or in some cases, what." He explained and Eren nodded.

"I can't see your face." Eren stated after a moment. The man tilted his head to the right slightly, just barely noticeable. If Eren hadn't been solely focused on him, he wouldn't have noticed his movement.

"That's odd, they can usually see me. Maybe it's different every time." He said. "My name is Levi. I would shake your hand but I can't see it and I have a phobia of germs so you're hand is probably filthy." Levi said as if he were a recording, signalling to Eren that he had said it quite a few times before.

"Are you a Free Dreamer too? I was diagnosed with it today." Eren stated. Levi lifted his head up, and if Eren could have seen his face then he would have seen the flash of emotion.

"Being a Free Dreamer isn't a diagnosis. It's a gift, it's a flaw in the government. Don't ever tell a dream maker that you are one, they will do everything and stop at nothing to 'fix' you even though nothing is wrong. You see, kid, humans are made to dream. They have to in order to be happy, in order to be human. If you're lucky, the doctor will write in that your chip had a glitch and that nothing is wrong, because even though they say that it's normal, they hate them."

"What are you saying, Levi?" Eren asked.

"What I'm saying, kid, is that the government took away our right to dream because that leads to ideas, and ideas lead to revolutions. They don't want us to know that we can do more, and they don't want us to see their flaws. We are their enemy, and they're ours."

"What? There's no way, my parents worked for the government. They only talked good about it. They were killed in an explosion."

"Yes, that explosion killed a lot of faculty that began questioning the government." Levi stated seriously. "They've brainwashed many, killed more, and will continue. Be careful with what-"

And then Eren woke up.
