Ruthie's POV
*Side note: The setting for the first two chapters is at the Hospital. During the time Eric felt he was a have a magical recovery from his enlarged heart*
I really did want to try with Martin. But how could I? I'm not the same girl I was. I'm not even the same girl I was a week ago.
But maybe it wouldn't hurt to try and start over with Martin. He and I have more history. History that I don't want to just throw away. T-Bone is leaving to spend time with his "Dad" soon so I wouldn't have to worry about him.
Here's what I know:
-TBone did most things on impulse. Example would be giving me a promise ring.
-Martin rarely does things on impossible. He does things based on what feels right to him.
-TBone tells me what I want to hear.
-Martin will sometimes tell me what I want to hear. But he will also tell me when I've stepped out of line.
I've made up my mind. I want Martin. I need Martin. We've always been there for each other. So maybe it'd be worth giving us another chance.
R- Okay Martin if you're willing, I'd like to give us another chance.
Martin gave me a smile. Then gave me a light kiss on the lips.
M- I promise Ruthie, this time I'm gonna do better. For you. For us. Things will be different.
