HAPPY BIRTHDAY (sorry if I'm late or early) to you lot! Whoever's birthday is today or around this time, I just wanted to wish you the best day.

They say my name is Anistyn Holmes.

Ben brought me to London, England. Apparently, it's where I'm from. Another man accompanied us too, a handsome man called Beckett Keene. The three of us squeezed into a cab, which took us to the place we are now: 221B Baker Street. Ben mumbles something to himself as he looks to the second story window. I follow his gaze, expecting to see someone there but it's vacant. I shrug and walk towards the door, assuming that's where we're headed.

"Is this my home?" I query, looking over my shoulder at the two men before inspecting the door in front of me. I run my hand over the shiny finish before pulling back my hand sharply, letting out a hiss in pain looking at the sliver. I furrow my brows and try to pull it out with my nails, after two tries I succeed and give a exclamation of joy. I turn around and proudly show the piece of wood once in my hand to Ben.

"What's happened?" He asks, confused.

"I got a sliver and pulled it out!" I grin, before letting the piece of wood fall out of my palm awkwardly, "It's more of a personal accomplishment I guess."

"Good job." He congratulates, but I can tell it's strange for him. I'm not the same person he knew eighteen days ago, I don't share her memories.

"Where are we?" Beckett asks, wandering around on the pavement.

"221B Baker Street." Ben replies.

"Yea, but why are we here?" He presses, Ben sighs.

"Let's just head up." He leads us to the door that gave me a sliver and uses a key to open it before holding the door open to allow us all to file inside. I head in first, Beckett and Ben on my tail. Following the stairs upwards almost on instinct, I reach a door and open it not knowing why. I look behind me, catching Ben's gaze that questions if I remember this building. I shake my head in response. No, I don't remember. I turn back to the door, pushing it all the way open before stepping inside without hesitation. I immediately look to my left, seeing a man with dark brown hair immediately stand up and face me. He just stares at me while I stare at him. The man in question is taller than me, his build is lean, and he has an inquisitive face with ocean colored eyes. I tilt my head to the side in confusion, do I know him? Something brushes up against my legs and I immediately look down. A fluffy white cat gazes up at me. I let out a pleased noise and crouch down to her, stroking her soft fur.

The man to the left of the room clears his throat. I stand back up and face him again before striding up to him and holding out my hand, "Hello! I'm sorry for barging in, but my name's Anistyn, it's nice to meet you!"

He stares at my outstretched hand then looks back to my eyes, his voice is scratchy as he speaks, "I know."

"Oh, um." I turn to look at Beckett, who shrugs his shoulders, "Do I know you? I've lost my memory."

"I'm Sherlock Holmes." His voice trails off at the end, his eyes searching mine. Probably hoping for something to click in my head.

"Holmes? My last name is Holmes."

"We share a last name." He replies blandly, disappointment seeping into his voice.

"We're family then." I conclude.

"Siblings." He clarifies carefully, my eyes turn into saucers.

"I'm so sorry I forgot you!" I immediately exclaim before regaining my composure, "I got hit by a semi-truck and was in a coma and I-"

"You woke up yesterday with no recollection of your life." He states bluntly, cutting me off, "I was informed."

I'm taken aback by his brash tone, is he a rude person? He doesn't seem like a rude person necessarily, just a blunt person. I sort my thoughts, quickly slotting them in the correct places. He's my brother, and I can trust him. I turn to look at Beckett, he gives me a small smile of encouragement. I turn back to my brother.

"You live alone then." I state, looking around at the mess this man would probably claim as organized. Sherlock tilts his head at me.

"I guess you haven't turned completely ordinary." He mutters quietly, I feign obliviousness.

"Sorry?"

"I said I guess not anymore since I have two top heavy men and a sister joining me." He looks pointedly at Beckett, who is struggling to put all the papers back onto the coffee table after he knocked it over. I take a deep breath.

"I can just stay with them." I offer, but Sherlock's eyes turn hard.

"No." His voice got deeper, if that's possible. Is he worried that they might hurt me? I turn to look to my two companions. Ben is gazing out the window, hands held behind his back pensively. Beckett stands awkwardly next to the now semi-organized coffee table. They wouldn't hurt me.

"They won't hurt me, if that's what you're worried about." Ben and Beckett's attention is immediately turned toward our conversation after my statement.

"I made a vow to protect her, Sherlock. You know that." Ben growls, offended that my brother think such a thing.

"She asked me to come with, I'm not going to harm her." Beckett stands up for himself.

"Nadine would agree if she was here." I pitch in, Sherlock immediately narrows his eyes.

"And where is Nadine?"

"Working. She's a teacher and was needed back at work." Ben snaps.

"I have two extra rooms, one of them has two twin beds. I think you'll manage." Sherlock concludes.

A/N Hey guys! You don't have to read this authors note if you don't want to, it's pretty much just me telling you of a frequent prank that's pulled inside the dorm. As some of you know I'm in college, and since I live in college I have two roommates. We all like to occasionally prank each other. The light to our bathroom (yes, luckily, our dorm has a bathroom in it. Along with a kitchenette) is located outside of the bathroom. Every once and a while one roommate will turn the bathroom light off while another one is in there, this causes a surprised shriek and a shout of anger to come from the bathroom. If you want funny dorm updates just ask I have plenty, the question is if I remember all of them.
