"Let's get some rest Barnes. This mission thing isn't gonna be easy we should get all the rest we can. I'll rent a car in the morning and we can be on our way to Russia. Just don't get me killed."

He sighed, "No one is forcing you ya know?"

I shrugged,"Maybe your story shouldn't have been so believable then."

I dug into my suitcase and grabbed some pajamas before scurrying off to take a shower.

When I got back into the room it was dark expect for the brightly lit television.

Bucky was laying on his back, stiff as a board, with his eyes closed.

How could anyone sleep like that?

I sighed and climbed into my own bed and pulled the covers over me before closing my exhausted eyes.

I woke up in the middle of the night to loud groaning.

I sat up and looked around.

The tv was still on and allowed me some light.

James was tossing and turning.

Most likely having a nightmare.

I knew all too well about those.

I gave another sigh before getting out of the bed and walking over to his restless frame.

I reached out and touched his chest and felt his heart pounding.

I gave him a light shake.

"James. James, wake up. You're having a nightmare." I continued to shake him awake.

He shot up in the bed causing me to jump back.

He was hyperventilating.

I sat on the edge of the bed.

"It was just a bad dream. You're okay. You're safe." I ensured before going off to get him a glass of water.

I handed him the cup and he chugged it in seconds.

His breathing slowed.

"I'm sorry Stephanie. I didn't mean to wake you."

I shrugged. "Well fair warning, I have em too. The nightmares."

He gave me a surprised look and nodded.

"Right. I remember." He spoke.
I stood and walked back to my bed and crawled in.

"It's just a dream. It can't hurt you." I added before laying back down and drawing the covers.

The light of the sun shone in through the window causing me to squint my already closed eyes.

I guess this was my cue to get up.

I sat up, stretched my arms and yawned.

This was going to be a long mission. I could feel it. No doubt my life is in severe danger the minute we walk out the door.

I wish I could walk away. But there's something in me that won't let me.

I believed his story enough to humor him.

If I let SHIELD get him, he's done for.

I don't even want to think about what they'll do.

"Are you okay?" Bucky spoke causing my head to snap in his direction.

I nodded,"Yeah. Fine." I got up and grabbed some clothes and headed into the bathroom to get ready.

I stepped out of the bathroom and was immediately stunned by Bucky shirtless.

He had muscles upon muscles upon muscles. Every part of him had it's own muscle.

It was astonishing.

He stopped when he noticed me there.

"Oh sorry." He reached for his shirt. "I didn't know you'd be out so soon."

"It's fine. It's not like I've never seen a shirtless guy before." I shrugged nonchalantly.

Not like that I haven't.

I wiped my mental drool and continued to pack my things.

Once I finished I sat on the bed and searched through my phone for a rental car. Something boring and unlikely to suspect.

I picked an old black suv that looks like it's been through hell.

Hopefully it was sturdy enough for what we would put it through.

I looked back to Bucky who was writing something in his notebook.

I wondered what it was.

He noticed me looking and closed the book.

"I'm ready when you are."

I nodded and stood up.
"I picked our car. We just have to go to the shop and get it. Or I can get it. It's probably better if you wait here and I'll come back for you."

He gave me a strange look.

There's no way I'm gonna let him see me pull out identification for someone other than "Stephanie"
That wouldn't go over well.

Besides we can't carry around a huge duffel bag of guns.

He nodded. "That's probably better. I don't need any more exposure."

"I'll be back soon." I walked out the hotel and hailed a cab that took me to the dealership.

I handed them one of my fake I.D's.

Amanda Byrd.

And with that I was on my way.

I jogged up to our room and let myself in.

Bucky was writing again. And for the second time he quickly closed his notebook when he saw me.

I resisted rolling my eyes.

"Ready?" I spoke.

He nodded and got up and grabbed his things.

I grabbed my suitcase and we were out the door.

Once in the car I got in the driver seat.

"I don't suspect you know how to drive do you?"

He shrugged,"I'm not great at it."

I nodded and buckled up before turning on the radio.

"Any requests?"

He shook his head.

"Is Frank Sinatra still around?" He sincerely asked.

I fought a smile as best as I could and shook my head.

"Oh James. You've got a lot to learn." I said before plugging in my phone and turning on top hits radio.
