Nanatiling nakayuko si Corvette. He failed.
"I failed you again Helaena" he mused. Matapos niyang mawalan ng malay ay inihatid siya ni Rigid sa kanilang bahay habang inaasikaso nito ang mga naging casualties ng engkwentro. Corvette chuckled to himself. Walang kupas ang taong iyon, Rigid was still the king. And even after all these years he still cleaned up after the mess he didn't make.
"I made the mess, yet you're the one cleaning it for me. Just like the old times eh" nakangiting saad niya sabay patak ng luha mula sa kanyang mga mata.
"Pero kulang tayo. Wala si Helena." he muttered. As a distant memory visited his mind again, back in the time nung mga bata pa sila.
Rigid was the president's grandson back then. The president who was also a former general of the country's armed forces. Paboritong apo ng presidente si Rigid dahil sa matalas na pag-iisip nito and hi grandfather's favorite past-time was to give crime scenarios to Rigid for him to fix. At bilang naging kalaro nila si Rigid noon ay Corvette and Helaena also joined the game. Dahil doon ay natuwa din ang presidente sa kanilang dalawa.
The three of them would solve crimes and show them to Rigid's grandfather. Kahit na sa mga murang edad ay kakikitaan ng kakaibang talas ng pag-iisip ang tatlong paslit. Kaya naman minsan ay sumasali sa laro ang lolo ni Rigid upang bahagyang pahirapan sila sa pagssolve ng mga scenario na binibigay nito.
"If I was the terrorist, I would take this route instead and start a forest fire using the AFP helicopter" pabibong saad ng batang si Corvette
"But then a platoon would be on your tail at 14:00 and dummy the satellites will be watching you, they turn just after 18:00 to your exact coordinates" pambabara naman ni Helaena habang pinapanood lang sila ng lolo ni Rigid.
