chapter one: Vault hunter

My name is Shylo and this is the story of how i became a vault hunter, ok let me start at the very beginning of the story, ever since i was little i heard stories about great vault hunters who risk there lives to find treasurs that will make them very rich, my favorite story was of how my father was a vault hunter and became the boss of Hyperion! After hearing such stories all my life i decided to be a Vault hunter! The first time i told my dad i wanted to be a Vault Hunter like him was when i was 5 years old, my father waved it off as nothing more then a childish fantacy, if he knew i would eventually become a Vault Hunter then he probably would have never told me any of the stories, to him i was his princess, to everyone else i was known as The Princess of Hyperion, i hated it because people treated me differently like i was a princess, probably scared of my father, most kids would stay away from me in fear of being thrown out into space............oh did i not mention Helios is a giant space station? Its not my only home though, my father has a Sumer home on a planet called Helios Prime, its a small planet that my father owns, its nice and beautiful! Plants and animals (non dangerous kind) everywhere! The sumer home looks like a castle/mansion. My only friend on Helios was a boy my age named Jake, me and him used to pretend to be vault hunters and used laser guns (fake) to kill (pretend) monsters, in school i learned a lot about different planets and i learened that the planet Pandora was a place were Vault hunters would go to find treasure! I asked about it to my father and he said:"Pandora is a mining planet used by Hyperion, if some idiot gose there to find treasure, all they will find is death, never ever go there". I latter found out that was some what of a lie mixed with truth, im not dumb at all i just choose to want to believe in the lies, since i was very little i was very smart, Mechanical smart, when i was 7 i built my first robot...........too bad it exploded, my father was shocked and a bit scared? He told me to not blow everyone up, over the years i built various types of robots, i even help built the robots for Hyperion to use for mining, i secretly made my own fighting robot that can shoot many many different kinds of weapons like rockets and a flamthrow! Im a genius! My father eventually saw how i could help and i wound up creating the Hyperion security system and many other stuff like the Echo eye and mechanical upgrades, when i turned 13 i earned the name Mechromancer, i also got very good grades in school, everything i did was to make my father happy but i wound up not really happy, all i wanted was to be a Vault Hunter but everytime i mention it my father would say:"thats just a childish fantacy, grow up and focuse on your mechanic career and maybe some day you might run this place", ya right! Thats his dream not mine! So thats when i really decided to become a vault hunter to prove to my dad that i will be fine on my own and that i can protect myself! Once i turned 16 i decided to run away from home and become a vault hunter, i even maybe kinda stole some Gearbox golden weapons, 3 of them, Callipeon, Projectile Convergence, and Rifle, i even stole 3 Contraband Sky Rocket grenades and i may have stolen something from my father's office...........a Vault Hunter's Relic, i have no idea what it dose though, i also hacked into my father's computer and found out there is a Vault on Pandora! Thats why my father is mining it! Oh and that people live on the planet! Maybe if i find the vault first then my father will be happy right? Or he might get super mad..........i also found out there is a train that vault hunters use on pandora! I took my gadget that has my robot in it and everything i kinda stole then i may have stowed away on a transport ship to pandora, once my father finds out then im sooooooooo dead! Once on pandora i look around the small mining town and saw a train with a huge sign on it with a picture of my father saying:"Vault hunters welcome!", thats a bit weird, i get onto the train and look around seeing 6 vault hunters! A ninja, a big guy, a guy with a bunch of guns, a weird girl with a mechanical arm, a bandit and a......Siren?! My father said sirens were very rare to see, he also told me that my mother was a siren named Lillith, he told me she died a long time ago, this is cool i guess, i see the ninja guy looking at me a lot, he is kinda creeping me out a bit, the vault hunters were nice to me though, there names were Gaige, Krieg, axton, Zero, Maya, and Salvador, i just introduced my self as Shylo, i only said my name and nothing else then i heard His voice say:"Welcome vault hunters to your doom!" My eyes go wide seeing turrets pop out of nowhere and start shooting! I duck and cover then my eyes go wide seeing a robot of my father hooked up to explosives! Before i could react the train blew up and i blacked out, when i woke up i saw a weird robot name claptrap.......he lootted a body and gave me an echo communicator and told me to fallow him, i was in so much pain and my eyes go wide seeing my life is down to 10% this is not good! As i follow the robot who calls me a minion i see some one all too familiar, Angel, she is a siren that my father inprisoned to work for him, she is hooked up to a machine that keeps her alive and draining her powers slowly, first time i met her she told me that i had powers like her that i needed to unlock, so seeing her pop up on the little machine was a bit shocking, she told me that i was alive for a reason then vanished! Great! Not to mention how its freezing cold here! As i walk the claptrap unit said something about Handsome Jack's downfall????? What dose that even mean?????? The claptrap unit also gose on and on about a Bullymong? Whats that? As im looting some lockers i see a huge creature come down and rip out claptrap's eye! This is not good! Atleast i found money and ammo, once i found a gun then Angle appeared and said something about being a hero......then claptrap said he needed to get to a place called Sanctuary, i sighed, maybe i can find a vault key there? I find a health pack and more ammo and i glance at the transmitor seeing its not coming in clear were im at, i follow the now blind robot running into stuff then i see agle appear on the intercom again and said:"Stay close to the robot, he will get you too sanctuary were you will be safe", safe? Dose she mean safe from my father? As im walking a bunch of bullymong attack! I shoot them all dead and i keep walking, its super cold! I wish i brought warmer cloths! I have my icy blue hair in a ponytail and im in a black tank top with a gray skirt and black and whit stripped leggings and black combat boots with black and white stripped arm warmers on my arms, i also have on steampunk goggles, so ya im freezing cold! I see a waypoint machine then feel a tremble in the ground, clap trap says its because handsome jack is drilling into the ground trying to find a vault! No way! He would destroy a planet to get to a vault?! Angle then appeared saying the resistance against my father is in sanctuary, if i join them then that will piss him off a lot.............all i want is for him to be proud of me........to be just like him, i have to be smart and not mention to anyone who i really am........handsome Jack's daughter......... great! I see more of those creaturs then i shoot them and help claptrap up then my intercome turns on and my eyes go wide seeing my father!
Jack: vault hunter- wait Shylo? Why do you have vault hunter teck? Were are you?
Me: welll ummmm you see..........im on pandora......
Jack: you what?!
Me: ya..........i was on the train you blew up.....
Jack: WHAT?! are you ok?!?
Me: ya.........im now shooting some creaturs right now
Jack: Shylo, dont move! I will be right there-
The transmission was cut short and i sighed, sorry dad but im not going to freeze to death waiting for you to come and get me...... as i follow claptrap he starts saying that his eye turned on..........then the hige bullymong appeared! I killed it easly, then claptrap gose to an Hyperion security door and it did not work unlocking it, great job......NOT! Then angle used her powers to get it open! Thats amazing! Once open i go inside and took everything i wanted/needed, i have 203 cash on me now........damn i should have barrowed money from my dad.......now to a place called Southern shelf, the stupid robot is sooooooo annoying! As i walk with claptrap i hear my father on the intercome say:"Attention people of pandora, im offering a million dollars to who ever brings me the vault hunter who is now in liers berg, bring her to me alive, if she is not alive on arrival you get no money and will be killed, happy hunting!" Well shit! This is not good, my father just put a bounty on my head..........atleast its a wanted alive bounty.......great now a captain flynt is after me? This day just gets better and better! -_- , now im meeting a guy called sir Hammerlock.........and he asked me to kill flynt's men, this should be fun! I start shooting them and i get them in the head, ok so flynt just said to kill me?! Is he crazy???? Did he not hear what my father said?! Once i killed the men i go to were Hammerlock is and he repairs Claptrap's eye then i had to deal with more bullymong and now i have to go to the old crimson raider hide out? When will i be able to get off this glacier?! Ok so im now taking out more guys, its kinda fun taking them out with my rifle! I then go back to claptrap and the intercom comes on again.
Jack: hay sweetheart, im not mad at you, just give me your location so i can come and get you, then we can have some of those bread pretzels with melted cheese that you like soooooo much! Oh and i just baught a pony made of Diamonds, its yourse if you come home, cant decide on a name yet, maybe jewel? Or crystal?
Me: ummmm crystal is a good name.........but im not coming home sorry dad but this is my adventure
Jack: dont be stupid! Those bandits will try to kill you!
Me:.........damn it i think i got shot in the ass! Hold on.........
I took out one of the health needle things and withing minutes the bulled hole heald! Thats amazing!
Jack: wait what?! I will be right there!
The intercom turned off and i sighed, he will probably be here soon.........i run and shoot more guys and then i hear my father on the intercom.
Jack: by the way the pony is a real live pony not some toy or statue
Me: thats cool wonder if it shits rainbows..........
Jack: dont talk like that pumpkin.....just wait for me to get there
Me: bye!
I turned the intercom off not wanting to hear my father talk anymore, every time he talks i feel like what im doing is wrong and that i should just give up and go home, then some jackass had to shoot at me and snap me back to my senses! As i go further i come up to a guy called boom and his brother bewm! I tried to not laugh at the idiots who so obviously named themselfs and they start to shoot at me! I shoot them trying to kill them, there like mini bosses? After i killed them, kinda difficult to do btw, i find captian flynt's base and i start to shoot again, the sooner i get off this glacier the better, my father will be here soon to get me himself, i guess a 16 year old runing away from home to be a treasure hunter is not exactly a good thing...........after killing more guys then captain flynt tried to "make a deal" with me and claptrap, saying if we let him keep both of us to torcher then he wont kill us, that is going against my father witch means he is dead either way, i smirk seeing a group of idiots trying to kill me and i send out my loader bot to take care of the idiots then i loot some more and i see claptrap cant climb stairs.........that is sooooooooooo stupid! The round robot i made at home (looks like BB8 from star wars) can go up stairs! I sighed and go up the stairs to the switch killing more idiots along the way untill i get to an ammo machine and by up all the ammo i can carry then i jump down onto the ship captain flynt is on, no one said the crazy basterd sets himself on fire! I quickly pull out one of my new guns i found called Loaded Hornet! It soots some sort of green Accid, i quickly kill Flynt and claptrap unlocks the door, i look up into the sky seeing the moon canon shoot down to were we were into the small town! Damn he is here! I get onto the ship with claptrap and set sail to a place called Three Horns Divide.
Jack's pov
Ever since i found that vault ive been the richest person in this galaxy! And believe it or not but the one thing i love more then money is my daughter Shylo, i will do anything for her to be happy and everyone on Helios knows it! Ok so im in my office working when i get a call from one of Shylo's teachers telling me she skipped class, thats not like her, maybe she is not feeling well? I sighed some and i smirk knowing the Vault hunters on the train are about to die and i watch my clock and count down, 5.......4........3..........2............1! KABOOM! dead vault hunters, a deadly game that i dont want my daughter to get into, i walk out of my office and to Shylo's room and knock but no answer? I open the door to see no one in her room! She is going to be in soooooooooo much trouble for skipping class i sigh going back to my office and i turn on my intercom too see if any one survived the train exploding, i plan on giving them a speach about how there suposed to be dead and all, i start out saying:"Hello vault hunter-" then my eyes go wide seeing Shylo! What the?! She looks like she is hurt!
Me: vault hunter- wait Shylo? Why do you have vault hunter teck? Were are you?
Shylo: welll ummmm you see..........im on pandora......
Me: you what?!
Shylo: ya..........i was on the train you blew up.....
Me: WHAT?! are you ok?!?
Shylo: ya.........im now shooting some creaturs right now
Me: Shylo, dont move! I will be right there-
The intercom shut off and i cursed hitting my fist down on my desk, that girl is going to get herself killed! I have to go and get her. I ordered my "employees" to track her, the bad weather on pandora is messing up the signals, she is now in liers berg, Great! If i set an reward for her alive then i might get her back in one piece, i turned the intercome on and said:"Attention people of pandora, im offering a million dollars to who ever brings me the vault hunter who is now in liers berg, bring her to me alive, if she is not alive on arrival you get no money and will be killed, happy hunting!" Then i sighed sitting on my chair, i should plan my next move........a young lad came into my office, he was about 18-19 and had a robotic arm and echo eye that looks new, he was here to bring me my lunch, i think his name was Rhys, what a strange name, ok so im now eating my lunch and browsing threw my many different cars, what one should i pick? Then i hear a knock on the door and in came a man with my Diamond pony! I bought it for Shylo because i can, i smirked and got a brilliant idea! Maybe if i tell her about it then she will come back home?!

Wait did she just?! Damn it! Damn these machines! I finaly got the intercom back on and i tried to sound not worried, i do hope she is ok.

She hung up on me! She is in sooooooooooo much trouble! I picked a car and i walked to the moon cannon, no way will shylo be able to take on captain Flynt, expesualy with the weapons she stole! I climb into the drivers seat and i hear the count down, 5.......4......3........2........1! I hear a loud sound and it was like being on a roller coaster! Once landed i drive past creature that i had to shoot, i drive all the way to liers berg and i curse seeing no one there! I then drive to were captain Flynt was.......i see dead bodies everywhere! As i drive i get worried not wanting to find Shylo in a pile of dead bodies! I get to were captain flynt is and see him dead?! Some sort of green accid stuff on him and his ship gone meaning shylo is gone! I will find her and bring her home! I swear it!
