IV

After a seemingly never ending walk through the dank and gross stone hallways, the guards finally halt in front of a wooden door. One of the guards hold the door open and look at us expectantly. I scoff.

"Wait. Wait, wait, wait. You want me to share a room with it?" I ask while shoving a thumb in Blue-eye's direction.

They just stare at me, no reaction at all. Not a flicker of emotion or any intelligible thoughts in their eyes. I'm about to complain some more when Blue-eye shoves me out of the doorway and strides into the room, flashing me a cocky smirk as he enters.

I give an exasperated look to the other boy who is still in the hallway with me. He looks at me once but his eyes flicker away as he enters the room too. I sigh and give a half-hearted wave to the soldiers and enter the door, closing it behind me.

When I step in I'm immediately in a better mood. It's a decent size room, though lacking in width, but it's not the room size that makes me excited. It's the stuff. There are two wooden bunk beds, one on the right and one on the left. Next to the bunk bed on the left is a mahogany desk stacked with quill and ink, pencils, and fresh paper. Across from the desk is a doorway that seems to lead to the bathroom. The back wall is fit with a traditional four panel window, displaying the starry night sky, and two lit torches on either side.

This is the best room I've ever been in.

"I get top bunk!" I yell as I dash up the ladder on the right, flopping face first into the fluffy mattress. I'm smiling so big my cheeks are starting to hurt. I spring up and look over the railing of the top bunk.

The only person on the other bunk is the dark-eyed kid is lying who is lying with his arms behind his head on the bottom mattress. Seems he claimed that bed. With a sudden realization, my eyes widen.

I look under my bunk, hanging upside down from the railing. My black hair falls in my face but I can still see him clearly. He smirks at me.

"Hey, I'm not as annoying as I seem."

"That's a matter of opinion." I mutter as I swing back up to my bed. There's a small moment of silence until the dark-eyed boy shifts his position and sits at the edge of his bed.

"Well, let's get to know each other." He says. We all look at each other in silence, expecting somebody else to start. After realizing no one will go first voluntarily, dark-eyed starts.

"My name is Aristides, and I'm a teleportation Seraf. I can teleport anywhere within a certain distance as long as I know what the place looks like."

Almost immediately after he finishes, Blue-eyes speaks.

"Now it's time for the best of us three." He says with a large grin, "My name is Michalis and I can create and manipulate ice."
