I quit (ayato x human reader)

I stare out the window and drank my hot coffee. I shivered as I felt my skin get goosebumps because of the cold.

"Hey, are you okay? " Touka asked as she sat next to me, drinking her own coffee. The raven haired lady wore a beautiful cream dress that complemented her baby bump.
I nod in response

"It's just so cold" I assured her.

"Time flies by so fast. Christmas is just a month away. "

"So is the due date of your child."
I said as I looked at her tummy.
She gives me a small but genuine smile in response.

"Touka, I heard that Ayato's gonna leave Aogiri. Did anything bad happen for him to make that kind of decision?" My eyes showed mixed emotions of worry and fear.

The only answer that I got was another smile. This time, she did it in a teasing manner. She points her finger towards me.

I looked back and felt like time stopped.

I knew it.

I'm as dead as a corpse right now.

Ayato kirishima is standing behind me.

" What was it that you're saying about me? " At first, I thought that he was mad at me because I was talking about his private business but surprisingly, he just sat across me and leaned on his hand. He wasn't looking at me. His mind seemed to be occupied with something.

"Sorry..." I said as he stayed quiet. Touka stood up as if on cue. She said that she had important matters to attend to. As she left, I couldn't help but wonder why she mouthed the words "good luck" to her brother.

Once we were alone everything fell silent until Ayato broke it.
"(y/n)... You already know that I quit Aogiri tree... " I stared at him as I waited for him to continue. He took a deep breath and said, "The reason why I did that is because... I promised you that I'd live a peaceful life didn't I? That... We'd live a peaceful life.. Together..." His next action surprised me.

He took out a ring.

"I... I know that you're a human and I'm a ghoul but... I know that things will work out.. F*** this sounds so shi**y and cheezy... I just... Want y-you to.. M-marry me p-please. I p-promise to make you happy...". He struggled with his words towards the end. I couldn't help but laugh at how cute that was.

I kissed him on the forehead and nodded while crying a bit because of the gentleness I got from this blushing man. He slips the ring and hugs me tightly.

"I'm glad to hear that... " he looked away embarrassed "Let's go home..." he grabs my hand and leads me to the place where we'd spend the rest of our lives in...
