AMAYA'S POV:

"Living with my younger brother, I have to take care of him, his school fees, and everything.

All that is my responsibility, and yes I have to take care of myself too.

I graduated from NYU (New York University). I don't know my parents, I've never even met them, or even know what their names are.

I used to be in a foster home and was adopted by these beautiful and loving couples who had no kids of their own.

They treated me well and with much love like I was their own. Then thankfully, they had a boy, we were all so happy and I love the baby like my own brother.

They never changed or treated me differently.

Then we got into an accident, and they both died, leaving me and Jason; my brother alone in this world.

I was 4 when they adopted me, and they had Jason when I was 12 and now I am 21. Making Jason 9.

They died when I was 16 and it's been 5years.

I call them my parents, because they may not have given birth to me, but they brought me up, took care of me, and made me the person I am today.

I miss them every day.

I don't have a good job, I've been searching and applying for jobs, but they wouldn't take me, it's either the boss wants to do something dirty or they just hate me.

I graduated with a major in Fashion Designing and
I went to a cooking school afterward and I've worked with some good companies but left in the end, for the reasons above.

I am currently working in a cafe downtown, a little bit far from my house. My parents had a house and a car. Which is mine now and I won't let anything happen to their property because it reminds me of them.

I don't really like this job but they're the only ones I've worked with this long, and the pay is not very bad. So I'll manage.

My name is AMAYA WATSON and this is my life"

••••••••••

"Okay, make sure to be good, okay?" I said to Jason dropping him off at school. We were already at the parking lot right now. He is sitting in the passenger's seat, and about to drop.
He always complained I'm going to drive away the girls crushing on him.

"I am always a good boy" he replied. Emphasizing the always. Okay, I may be a little or more overprotective of him but I have to. He's my only family.
He's my brother.

"I know Darling. So, I'll pick you up later? Love you" I kissed him on the forehead and he smiled and got off.

"I love you, Amy". With that, he was off, and this is almost 8 O'Clock I can't be late for work.
I drove fast to work, I'm not a rough rider though.
Immediately I got to work, I was ready to serve and make money.
I greeted my only friend in the cafe, Cassie, she's the only one that's not rude and has a good sense of humor. The rest you can say, are just trouble.

I have 5 tables for me today, and that is. 1,3,5,7,8,. Well, that's not so bad I thought.
I better get to work.

••••••••••••

Hours later

It was almost 5 PM which means I have about 1 hour left here. I don't pick up Jason directly from school, my parents had a close friend before they died and their son, Mike is friends with Jason so he goes there after school and I pick him up from there after work. I'm glad they're cool with it and understand. They are a very nice and kind family.

I decided to call Jason to check up on him. I currently have no tables to attend to, 2 out of three are occupied so I could as well use this time to talk with Jason.

"Hey, how are you coping?" I asked after he answered the phone.

"I'm fine sis, I just finished eating. Everything's okay. How's work there?" Jason asked from the other end of the phone.

"Eh, pretty much okay. So, I was thinking, should I order pizza or hamburgers? And we can watch movies, but I didn't know what movie to get soooo..."
I trailed off.
"Oh oh yesss don't worry I'll pick the movie and before you argue it's not a 9-year-old movie, so chill and burgers should do"

"Well good for us then, I'll be going. Love ya"
"Love ya too Amy"
I ended the call.

"Please if you're done with your lovey-dovey on the phone can you attend to me?"

Someone said, behind me and Immediately I turned.

I met eyes with this really good-looking guy, with gray eyes and a handsome but dull face.

He was beautiful, his hair fell roughly but in a sexy way.

"Uhm earth to" he leans forward to read my name tag.
"Amaya" he blinks.
"Uhm hi, sorry" I cleared my throat.
"What may I help you with?" I asked, blinking like something had entered my eyes, well his looks certainly entered my eyes.

Gosh! What is wrong with me today?!

"I wanted to pay, you served my table earlier, the one over there" he points to table 5. Oh the table with the dark-haired lady, that's annoying.
Why will someone like him be with her?

I collected my pay, and they left.
It was 5:49 right now. I don't have any more tables to attend to so I'll just sign out.
After that was done, I got out, started my car, and headed to McDonald's to get me and Jason dinner.

•••••••••••••
"Okay thank you" I paid the cashier and got out.
About 40 minutes later, I was with Jason, eating and watching a movie which is not so bad after all. We finished eating and retired to bed.
I wasn't sleepy yet, so I decided to check my laptop to see if I have any message from the jobs I applied for, unfortunately, there was none. I plugged in my phone and laptop, and slowly I began to drift away. I have work tomorrow.

I needed a better job!
