Chase's POV

So many people believe billionaires don't have any problem to worry about, but that's really wrong.
There may not be financial problems or stuffs. But we have issues we face too. Like how annoying my dad can be, he's a very powerful man and his reputation does him no justice. People think he's strict and harsh but trust me he's far far stricter and harsher than people even think. Don't get me wrong, my Dad and I have a pretty beautiful relationship but when it comes to some issues he's really annoying.
I know mom's death really affected him but I'm glad it didn't make him hate me or change towards me, because I know some fathers can be that way.

He's been asking me to bring my wife bla bla bla, I don't want to marry. I'm one of the most eligible bachelor's in town. I don't want to quit this life, I don't want to start answering to one woman only, mehn that'll be boring. I have the money, the looks, everything so why settle for one when you can have them all?

Besides I've given my heart to a woman before and she just toyed with it and threw it in the engine and crushed it. Now I got the pieces back together and I'm not letting any girl do that again.

I finished from NYU, major in business, I didn't have much choice since I'm the heir to my Father's company. But now things have changed. I didn't wanted to be the owner of any company but after what Angie did to me, I started working, paid more attention to work and I got to love it.

But right now there's a problem, my dad insists I get married immediately or else my cousin Ashton will take over the company. And I can't let that happen. I'd give the company to anyone but Ash. Not now, not ever. And I'm determined to do anything it takes to keep my company.

•••••••••••••••|

"We're here Sir" my driver Philip said, tilting his head to look at me through the mirror.
I usually come to this cafe to have some personal time to myself and away from the world. I was about coming down when I saw Ash, with a blond girl, entering the cafe.

"Just go to the office, i change my mind" I said to Philip. He started the engine right away and turned around.
I can't be in the same place with that idiot, not in this lifetime.

I was constantly greeted by my employees. I am strict just like my Father. No worker dare look me in the eyes or talk back at me.

"Good morning Judi" I said to my receptionist.

Judi is like a mother to me. She takes care of me and she's the only one that can tell me what to do. She's married, with children. I told her to retire that I'll keep paying her but she insist saying I'd just get worse.

"Good morning Chase, welcome" she smiled. We exchanged greetings and I head inside my office.

I need an assistant, all the ones that came didn't last long. The one coming for interview today better be good.

Shortly Judi calls to notify me that he's here. Good!
Someone knocked and I permitted them in.

I didn't expect to see her again.

It was that girl from the cafe. Immediately she recognized me she was shocked. As if she's seeing a ghost or something.

"G-good morning Sir, I'm here for the interview" she stuttered.

"Sit" I gestured to the chair beside her. She smiled and took her seat..
"So what's your name?" I asked relaxing my back on my chair and folding my hands over my chest.

"Amaya- Amaya Watson" was all she said.
I asked her some questions and yes she was qualified for the job. I can't just tell her to start working, I have to do a background check on someone that's going to be my PA.
I told her she'd receive a call. So, when she left I called Judi to setup a board meeting.
We have some calculating and some statistical works to be done.
