Life without my father, Grimmjow, isn't exactly easy to get through. I still get bullied every day even when teachers try to stop it. Ichigo and my step dad, Renji, also pitch in, but it seems like nothing is working. I am a junior now, and Renji says that I have to get a job to start raising money for my college fund. So, I decided to get a job with Ichigo working in the Mini Mart near our home in Karakura Town.

I've made a few friends to keep me company, however. Unlike when Grimmjow was alive, when I had no friends. My new ones are new kids here, and I don't know what I'd do if I hadn't met them. Orihime and Tatsuki are my best friends in the whole world, and we love each other to death.

Although Renji and I have a strong relationship, he seems as though something in our life is missing. A mom is something I'd suggested before, but he doesn't think that is it. I assume he is speaking nonsense, but when I see his serious face, I think otherwise.

The anxious feelings I get every day are unexplainable, and sometimes I do think Renji is right. Maybe we have lost an important piece of our life other than Grimmjow after he died. I can't help but think that more of my family is out there somewhere, that I am not the only child. I believe that Grimmjow didn't tell me the full story, or Renji is just keeping to himself. But I don't think he would do that, considering that he tells me what's on his mind every time he is confused, upset, or worried about something. It frustrates me when someone doesn't tell me something I don't know, and it feels as though he is doing exactly that.

I sigh in frustration, attempting to focus on my test for history. I just can't focus for some reason, and my boyfriend Ichigo pokes me from behind with the eraser of his pencil. I chuckle to myself and quickly look back at him so the teacher doesn't catch my move.

Ichigo is probably the only one, other than Renji, Tatsuki and Orihime, who can relax me. I am very temper mental and hot headed, and that only gives me even more headaches which leads to even more anger. That has gotten me into counseling which I do not particularly enjoy very well, only because I'd rather talk to Renji about my problems and keep them to ourselves. I don't want to have somebody talking with other counselors about my problems. Don't you think that it's an invasion of privacy?

I glance at the clock. The period is almost over. I turn back to my test and begin answering the questions that I know. I take educational guesses on the ones I don't. I end up finishing with a minute of class left, and the teacher begins collecting them.

"How do you think you did?" asks Ichigo, adjusting the strap on his bag on his shoulder. He stands and waits for me.

"Eh, not too bad. I guess. How about you?" I answer, also standing. I grab my books and we walk out of the room and to our next class.

Ichigo shrugs one shoulder. "Maybe like an eighty. I don't know."

As we take our seats in English class, the teachers begins the class right after the bell rings and everyone is seated. She says with a smile, "Welcome, class! I hope you all had a great weekend. Today we are starting one of my favorite Shakespearean plays: Romeo and Juliet. Now, you may think that this is a crummy story, but I actually think that some of you will enjoy it."

The whole class groans, and she hands a copy of Romeo and Juliet around so everyone has one. I scan through it, debating whether I think I'd like this or not. I mean, I like some Shakespeare stuff, but I don't know every single thing he wrote. Ichigo, sitting next to me, taps me on the shoulder with his book.

"You like Shakespeare, don't you? You're gonna have to help me get through this." He laughs.

I smile back at him. "Well, I can try my best. But I'm sure the teacher will help us translate it into modern English, too."

"You're right, Senshi. Well, I'm still gonna ask you anyway for help." Ichigo says.

I nod, agreeing with him. He needs my help in almost every subject. That, or he just likes to spend time with me.

We read our book in class together, and the teacher gives us a reading guide so we can answer questions to help us understand what is going on in the story which almost everyone is thankful for. I nearly hoped that she'd give us all of the answers, but I realize that it isn't going to probably happen anytime soon.

After class, Ichigo and I go our separate ways to third period. He has study hall while I have math. As I enter the cool classroom, Tatsuki approaches me with a smile on her face.

"Hey there, Senshi!" She calls. "How is everything? I didn't get to hang out with you this weekend."

"Everything's cool, I guess. Same as always," I reply, smiling back at her as we take our seats next to each other.

"Hey, I heard some people talking about your dad, the one who died, earlier. Anything been going on lately?" She asks.

"I'm sure it's just more gossip about me," I insist. "I don't think it's anything to worry about."

Or could something really be going on that I don't know about?
