THIS ONE IS A LITTLE MORE DEPRESSING

Transgender is overglorified.
It's not perfect parents getting you what you need.
It's going behind their backs.
It's being suicidal.
It's being forgotten.

It's not pride parades and flower crowns.
It's not passing easily.
It's not being accepted, even by the other people in your community.

It's being constantly asked why.
It's being hated by people who don't even know you.
It's being forgotten about those who spoke broken promised.
Who swore they cared.

It's clawing at the skin on your body because you hate the way it feels.
It's walking across the street without looking.
Hoping some car will hit you before you reach the other side.

It's despising your body.
It's hating the little things.
The way you say specific words.
Or the way you stand still.

It's wanting to be open about yourself, but afraid of how people will react.
It's being different and dispised for it.

People tear you down, without knowing you first.
Being told your perverted, and than followed with how do you have sex?

News flash my choice doesn't need your convent consent.
News flash I am who I am.
News flash my choice is just that.
Mine.

Shout your bullshit.
Tell me I'm wrong.
Speak hate from your mouth and I will respond with love from mine.

Speak your despicable words.
Tell me I'm broken.
And I'll smile.

While you tear me down, your kid could be afraid to come out.
Your child could be holding a gun to their own goddamn temple, and you would know.

I am who I am.
I am me.
