Chapter 10: Branch Talks to Jamie through "Mirrors"

The Trolls got out of their costumes and went to find the sisters.

"Okay guys. You guys start looking for Poppy. I'm going to look for Jamie and we'll meet up with you," Branch said.

They all nodded and Branch walked in a different direction than the others. He made it to a clearing with only one mushroom with moss under it. He sat by it with a small smile.

"Jamie, I know you're here," Branch said.

Her hair retracted and she had her head in her arms while cradling her knees.

"How did you know I was here?" she asked, her voice muffled.

"I didn't," he answered.

Jamie looked at him, her face tear-stained.

"Oh Angel," he whispered and hugged her.

She silently cried into his chest as he held her close.

"Bridget will never be our friend after this," Jamie sobbed.

"That's not true. You guys will still be best friends," Branch assured.

"How do you know?" she asked.

"Because you and I have had our moments where we got upset with each other and we didn't let that stop us," he answered.

Jamie looked at him and sniffled. He wiped her tears away and kissed her forehead.

"And you know what? Whenever something became difficult between us, a few things came to my mind to remind me that we still love each other," Branch confessed.

"Like what?" Jamie asked.

He stood up and got in front of her.

Jamie smiled and hugged then kissed him. When they parted, they let their foreheads touch for a while.

"No matter what mood I'm in, Branch, you always know how to make me smile," she said, Branch wiped her remaining tears, and she continued, "I'm guessing you wanted me to listen so I'd figure out I should've listened to Bridget, huh?"

"Wow. I was going to sing more to let you know, but you figured it out. You're good," Branch commented.

Jamie giggled, took his hand, and said, "Come on. Let's go find Poppy."

"Yeah. Plus, I'm gonna need your help if she doesn't get the message the first time," Branch told her.

She nodded and they were off.
