Evie Frye slowly walked into Inspector Abberline's office, the years appearing to have weighed on her, she had a look of concern on her face as she walked up to her old friend. "Inspector," Evie said softly, waiting for his reply, Abberline looked up from his desk where he was filling out paper work, "Mrs. Frye, it's good to see you, how is Olivia?" Evie smilled, as Abberline was the first friendly face she had seen.

"She's doing well, she takes after her father a bit to much though," at the mention of (F/N), Abberline's smile dissapered, "I do wish the circumstances were less dire," Evie nodded and thought to herself, 'time to start working' she sighed then looked at the floor. After a brief period she looked back up at Abberline, "Were are (F/N) and Jacob?" Abberline raised an eyebrow and began to walk to his office's door, he motioned for him to follow. "You didn't get your husband's letter?" Abberline asked with a tone of annoyance in his voice, as if he was tired of speaking, Evie shrugged, "My husband has never been one for details," she stated plainly.

Abberline sighed and began to walk to the police stations exit, "Allow me to fill you in on the details," Evie moved in closer, "Would you like the bad news or the worse news?" Evie scoffed, 'there never is a bright side with him is there?" she thought to herself.

Abberline exited the police station and climbed onto a carriage he gestured for Evie to follow, she did so, "lets hear the worse news" Evie said doubting it was serious. "To the best of my knowledge, you and your husband may be the only Assassins left in London" Evie's eyes opened wider, "What?!?!" her heart raced faster, what had happend to her brother?, what had this "Jack the Ripper" done? "Apparentley your husband was the last man to see him alive," Evie scoffed why hadn't (F/N) told her that, "Where is he?" Evie asked trying to hide the disdain in her voice.

Abberline's grim expression didn't change, "I'm taking you to him now, he's at the crime scene were the ripper first struck," Evie sighed in relief, at least she knew (F/N) was alive, and working it appeared, it was one less thing she had to worry about. "Which leads me to the bad news," Evie's heart nearly stopped, what was wrong, had (F/N) lost an arm?, was he scarred? "(F/N) encountered the Ripper, he supposedly fought him, but he seems different now, he's barely said anything, I would go as far as to say he's scared of the Ripper." This deepley concerned Evie, that wasn't the (F/N) she knew he was always the one who charged right into battle, he had attacked a super powered Crawford Starrick, a deranged serial killer shouldn't have even phased him slightly. Abberline remained silent, he glanced at Evie, assuming she was taking the information in, finally the pair pulled up to the first crime scene.

A sea of people stood trying to look into, the crime scene, but they were held off by a few policemen. Abberline jumped off the carriage as did Evie and the two entered the sea of people, shoving their way through the crowd, the pair finally made it to the front, but were stopped when the police stood in their way. Abberline looked up at the officer who blocked his path, the officer realized his mistake, "So sorry inspector," and he quickly stood aside. Abberline continued Evie followed suite, the pair walked into, the open yard where the Ripper first struck. There were allot of officers around, but Evie was only looking for one man, she quickly spotted him, "(F/N)" Evie said softly, but just loud enough for him to hear.

(F/N) was kneeling in front of the spot where the girl was murdered, he was looking right at the exact spot, but when he heard his name he slowly lifted his head and stood up. He turned around looking for the person who said his name, (F/N) stopped when he saw Evie looking at him, worried, he walked quickly to Evie, and to her suprise (F/N) hugged her. (F/N) had dark circles under his eyes, from lack of sleep, Evie noted, he looked like he had aged five years in the short time he had been gone. (F/N) hugged Evie for what seemed like forever, Evie slowly melted into (F/N), she knew that whatever he had gone through had traumatized him. "We need to talk," (F/N) said softly.
