I don't like you that much

“So Sasuke you finally admitted you feelings to Chiyo, I’m proud of you little brother I didn’t think you coul-“ “Will you shutup!” Sasuke grunts loudly and looks out the car window, Itatchi just chuckles. “I knew you two would end up together” Itatchi says while looking in the mirror at Sasuke and I holding hands. I smile at Itatchi’s antics and find it quite amusing while Sasuke…. Not so much. “Soooo have you guys-” “Itatchi. Be. Quiet.” Sasuke says gritting his teeth and another smile forms on my lips. “Geez little brother I was just going to ask if you both started to plan for the wedding. What did you think I was going to ask?” Itatchi says with amusement and Sasuke scowls and returns to looking outside the car window.  I’ll just say that the car ride was not boring at all.

~AT SASUKE’S HOUSE~

Oh God oh God, I’m not a great actor when people make me nervous. Only one person makes me this nervous and it’s Fugaku Uchiha (Sasuke’s dad).

I know you’re supposed to be nervous when you first meet your boyfriend’s parents, but Sasuke isn’t my boyfriend and I’ve seen his parents plenty of times. Fugaku haaaates me with a burning passion and tries to make me feel uncomfortable, it usually works but sometimes I’d throw smart ass comments in to tick him off.

“Chiyo! Sasuke! Oh my! I’m so happy for you two!” Mikoto (Sasuke’s mom) greets us while giving us bone crushing hugs.

“Now Sasuke, Why wouldn’t you tell your mother about this engagement hmmm?”

“I…. forgot?” Sasuke says while questioning his answer and I want to smack him in the face.

“Well something’s can’t be helped” Mikoto says while shrugging and looks to me than smiles. “So how have you been Chiyo? I hope Sasuke is treating you well” Mikoto says while winking and my face turns bright red.

“Mom please don’t pester Chiyo with inappropriate questions” Sasuke says while sighing and Mikoto raises an eyebrow.

“I don’t know what you talking about Sasuke, I wasn’t implying anything” Mikoto says.

I can’t help but think Itatchi is a lot like his mother…

I hear steps coming down the stairs and both Sasuke and I turn our heads directly towards the sound. Fugaku steps on his last step and looks toward Sasuke and I and grunts. “Why do we have to have a dinner with her?” Fugaku says rather rudely and Sasuke sticks up for me. “Chiyo is my fiancé whether you like it or not father, I love her and I know you may not be fond of her but I am” Sasuke states and Mikoto also decides to join in “Fugaku!” Mikoto yell at her husband. “That is NO way to speak to our guest!” She says while looking at him sternly and he shrugs. “She’s in MY house” Fugaku states and Mikoto and Sasuke huff and she walks to the kitchen to get the food.

Sasuke and I go to take our seats, mine being next to Fugaku so I can piss him off and Itatchi is already seated at the table. It’s probably wrong to be a jerk to your ‘fiancés’ dad but I could care less since he’s rude to me too. Right when I sit down next to Fugaku he scowls at me and I smile at him bright bearing my teeth.

“So Fugaku, How are you doing on this fine day?” I ask trying to sound sweet but it probably didn’t come off like that.

“You will address me as Mr. Uchiha” Fugaku states.

“I will?” I ask being a smart ass and get a scowl from Fugaku and Sasuke and Itatchi actually look amused by me.

“Yes you will Chiyo” Fugaku says demandingly not looking at me but instead his newspaper.

“And you’ll put your freaking newspaper down and have an actual conversation with me” I say mocking Fugaku’s demandingness. When Fugaku hears the words I said he lowers his newspaper just enough to look at me and raises and eyebrow.

“I will Chiyo?” He asks.

“Yes you will Mr. Uchiha” I say proudly.

Wow I actually stood up for myself!! Points for me!!!

Fugaku puts his newspaper down and just looks at me for a brief moment than sighs. “I don’t like you much Chiyo, I’ll say that much… But no guest has ever stood up to me like that before… in my own home, and for that I am impressed. I don’t know what Sasuke sees in you but I see someone who has guts. Don’t take this as a compliment, remember I don’t like you much” Fugaku says and looks away from me. I smile to myself since Fugaku DID actually compliment me and likes me a little!! He can tell himself he didn’t compliment me but we all know… he did.

After Fugaku gave his little speech to me, Mikoto comes in the dining area with the food and she was wearing a big smile. Knowing Sasuke’s mother she probably eavesdropped on the conversation Fugaku and I had.

~AFTER DINNER~

Dinner with Sasuke’s family was great! I had good conversations with everyone (Including Fugaku) and felt really welcomed. I shouldn’t get used to feeling welcomed though since Sasuke and I will ‘break up’ before the wedding anyways and I’ll probably never talk to his family again, but they’re all really great and his mom cooks AMAZING. I really hope after the ‘engagement’ is called off I’ll still be close with Sasuke Uchiha.
