"The light on the horizon
Was brighter yesterday,
With shadows falling over,
Skies begin to fade;
You said it was forever
But then it slipped away;
Standing at the end of
The final masquerade..."

"I must say Randhir, it is funny how shocked you look right now", spoke Dr. Kashyap, his eyes fixated on the boy before him, face betraying no emotion.
Randhir just stood petrified. He could literally feel the whole world revolving around him. The voices in his head that gave him confidence a few moments ago were now screaming alert.
Finally he mumbled, "It was you...You all along? You killed my parents? But why??....Why would u do something like that??"
Dr. Kashyap simply shrugged and said, "Not just me... You should ask the 'why' to your dear uncle...."
Randhir felt sick. He had suspected Dr. Dinesh the other day, but to have it confirmed made his insides squirm in disgust. How could his own uncle betray his parents like that?
"You know what", he said, "I'm glad u called me here tonight. I'm ready...I've been ready since ages, preparing myself for this day....And Kashyap uncle, u will pay for this..."
And as he spoke words, Randhir reached for the gun hidden under this jacket.

Smriti kept fidgeting with her phone. Something didn't sit right. She chanced a glance at Karan, but he was staring out of the window of the car they had hired.
Smriti, karan, Sanyukta, Kaustuki and Jignesh were on their way to the address given on the letter. They were all hoping that they wouldn't be too late to stop Randhir.
"Look u guys", started Smriti, "I know the three of u wanted to help, but honestly u have no idea what this mess is all about. Whatever u are doing, let's just say, it might even get u killed."
Jignesh gulped at her words, while Kaustuki looked at Sanyukta, who said nothing.
"Why are u even doing this?" asked Karan, "U hate us, we hate u...So why are u here?"
Sanyukta still didn't mutter a word.
And Smriti's doubts started to pinch her even more. Something was definitely not right. These three were hiding something. No one in their right minds would take up a death mission for people they hate.
Sanyukta on the other hand tried her best to remain calm even though her mind was reeling at all the possibilities. Was Randhir okay? Was he even alive? Would they reach on time to save him?
But right now, all she could think about was the look that Smriti was giving her. It had 'I don't trust u' written in bold letters. But Sanyukta also knew that telling Karan & Smriti the truth would create unnecessary misunderstandings and they would end up wasting vital time. And anyway, chances were that Randhir's friends wouldn't believe a word of what she would say!
Kaustuki saw Sanyukta's troubled face and nudged her.
"Sanyu, u okay?" she whispered, loud enough only for Sanyukta to hear.
