Jaden Morales 🌻
"Jaden! What the hell did I tell about hanging out with that boy?!" My mom bitched, referring to Jahseh, who was outside our door.
"Mom, how many times do I have to tell you. He's my best friend!" I yelled back.
"Those are not the type of people you need to be around, mija!" My mom continued to yell. "I told you to get the fuck out!" She threw the pot that was in her hand, which still had food in it, at him.
When I tell you my mom is a total nutcase. She's real crazy and she hates Jah because of some of the particular stuff he's into.
"Aye-" Jahseh said before my mom interrupted.
"Stay away from my daughter! If I ever see you again near my house I will call the police!" She said as she yanked my arm in the house.
"I don't give a fuck." He chuckled. Mom growled before slamming our front door shut.
"Jay, if I catch you with that boy again I swear to god..."
"Mom, he isn't a bad person. You just-"
"Oh! So gangbanging, stealing and smoking weed are all good things! ¡Estás loco, Jaden!"
I sighed. This was the second time my mom busted me for hanging out with Jahseh. I can't let this shit happen again or my ass is grass.
"Lo siento mama, it won't happen again." I apologized.
"Good, you're better than that. You have no business being 'best friends' with a grown man anyways! You're 16!" She said in a stern voice as she looked up at me and walked away.
My mom acted like he was 30. Jahseh is only 18. We have a two year difference.
I waited until she was gone before pulling out my phone, seeing a text from the one and only.
Jah 🖤🌪: ya moms crazy asf g 💀
I rolled my eyes at his stupid text. That's really all he had to say. He's so careless.
Me: don't you think I know that ? I live with her idiot.
Me: im sorry about what happened btw. she was more crazier than last time.
Jah 🖤🌪: she aggy tho fr 🙄
Jah 🖤🌪: you think I can come in tonight?
Me: no nigga, my mama finna watch me like a hawk now especially tonight
Jah 🖤🌪: I'm gonna be boredddd
Jah 🖤🌪: idgaf I'm coming anyways 💀
I rolled my eyes, pressing the power button. He was so annoying sometimes. Even though he's demented, I love him and he's my best friend.
Jahseh and I have known each other forever, due to our mothers being close friends back in the day. They knew each other from high school and went to the same college. They were inseparable, and so are Jahseh and I, no matter how hard my mom tries to keep me away from him.
When Jah turned 14, that's when he started getting into the amoral things he's into now.
My mom doesn't understand that I'm not going to be following him in what he does. Plus, it's not entirely his fault. He lives in Broward County while I stay in Deerfield Beach.
I originally am from Broward, but my mom hates Jahseh so much that we moved to Deerfield. She claims it's not because of him, but I know it is. Another reason is that she's embarrassed because of how "ghetto" it is.
Where Jahseh lives, there's a lot of drugs, gang-activity, robberies, you name it. He unfortunately got sucked into that.
I am Jaden Tianna Morales. I'm a 16 year old Afro-Latina with a Puerto Rican mom and a Jamaican dad. You can just imagine how easy my home life is, right?
Not.
I have an older brother, King, who was currently a college student and a Maltese named Wishbone, who was like my little baby.
Currently, I was on summer break and me being lazy and anti social, I haven't been up to much other than staying in and watching cartoons all week.
