Abbey had a very stressful, shitty day at work. Damon knew how horrible she was feeling so he ran her a bath. He sat at one end of the bath and listened to her rant. He looked at her with a sympathetic look. He knew that she hated the days of having everyone be absolute dicks to her but he tried his best to get her through it and to make her happy. That's all he ever wanted for her was to be happy and when he turned her into a vampire that made her happy but now she isn't. Damon was determined to find her something better to do with her life.
