Meeting Him

Charley enter Ed's house quick and called out "Evil!" yelled Charley. While Ed was doing something. "Evil! Evil" called out Charley once he enter Ed's room.

"To what do I owe this dubious pleasure?" asked Ed. Turning his attention to Charley.

"The vampire knows I knows about him , or he will tonight. " said Charley.

"What are you talking about?" said Ed laughing .

"A vampire lives next door to me" said Charley in a desperate voice. "He'll kill me unless I protect myself" explained Charley.

"What?" asked Ed , laughing still.

"Evil, I cant explain. Tell me how to protect myself" asked Charley.

"Very funny." said Ed and continue with his stuff.

"I'm not kidding, Tell me what to do. " said Charley , begging .

"Don't call me Evil! " said Ed. "Why should I help you?" asked Ed.

Charley quickly got his hand inside his pocket and took out something. "I've got eight bucks, Help me and it's yours." said Charley waving the money in the air.

Ed took the money and said " Far be it for me to turn down a fool's money." He then grab something of hi shelves "Now. Where and when do you expect the vampire to attack" asked Ed , putting his hands in his head.

"In my bedroom tonight" said Charley , still staring at Ed.

Ed look around till he noticed something , he grab it and said "Start With this" he showed a small cross. "But... You must have total faith in it for it to work." he warned Charley." Put links of garlic around your neck and hang some from your window. If he comes for you , that will be the way." said Ed slamming his hands , enough to scared Charley. "Then there's holy water, but a priest has to say a blessing over it first" indicated Ed.

"That's it ? " asked Charley surprised.

"I'm afraid so. Your best protection now , Charles, is that a vampire cannot enter your house without being invited by the rightful owner first." said Ed in a warning tone , grabbing both of Charley's shoulders.

"Are you sure ?" asked Charley again.

"Positive !" replied Ed.

"Thank you" said Charley and he quickly left. Ed just look annoyed by this,

When I saw that Charley got home , I quickly ran over to his house and walk beside him without him noticing.

"Charley!" I said. He jump when he saw me.

"Millie , you're alive " he said with relief in his voice.

"Of course I'm , what's wrong with you " I said. He hugged me tight. "Ok , I think Peter's Vincent's movies are affecting your mind" I said.

"Sorry , I'm just worried" he responded , with nervousness in his voice.

"Oh ok, I was going to ask you , if you needed help in your Trig , Homework" I said.

"Now?" he asked, looking at his watch.

"Its something wrong" I asked .

"Not at all" he responded.

"Oh right then , let me get my books" I said as I was going to my house.

"No time" he said and push me inside his house. Mrs. Brewster was still there and greeted me and reminded me to tell my grandma about poker night being move.

Once we got into his room I put myself to work and started to explained stuff to him, But he wasn't paying attention , he was to busy nailing the window.

"Hello , Charley " I responded in annoyed tone.

"Yes" he responded, still working on the window.

"Are going to study or not" I asked.

He was about to answer , but then his mother called " Charley , could you come down here?". "There's someone I'd like you to meet. " said Judy.

"Yeah , mom." said Charley , as he walk out of the room and I follow him.

"Charley and Millie , this is Jerry Dandridge" said Judy , who was well dressed. And in the small sofa was Jerry. He was very handsome and was well dressed, he had jet black hair and also had a ring and a well manicured hands.

I look to Charley and saw how he look, he was nervous , when he saw him.

"Hello Charley and Millie" he greeted with a gorgeous smile. I felt shy and smiled back.

He got up and went to where we were. And offer his hand , I took his hand and he brought his lips to the back of my hand. I giggle and he too smiled at me.

And slid away so he could shake Charley hand. Charley just stood there still in shocked.

"Well , Charley , don't be rude. Shake hands" said Judy.

Charley saw Dandridge hand and remembered how it look the night before , looking inhuman and it was around the girl that look very much as Millie.

He took Dandridge hand and took it off quickly. "What's he doing here?" asked Charley nervous.

"I invited him for drinks." responded Judy , still smiling.

"What? questioned Charley. I looked to him and I got annoyed.

"I invited him over, why?" asked Judy.

"What's wrong ? Afraid I'd never come without being invited?" asked Jerry . Both him and Charley's mother started laughing.

"You're right. Now that I've been made welcome , I'll probably drop by quite a bit." Said Jerry , who just stared at Charley , then he turn his attention to me.

I smiled back at him as he did the same.

"In fact , anytime I feel like it" said Jerry. I saw that made Charley more nervous. "With your mother's kind permission , of course " asked Jerry.

"Oh , anytime. It's so nice that someone interesting has finally moved into the neighborhood" said Judy looking at Jerry. While Jerry couldn't take his eyes of both me and Charley.

I saw how Charley started to back away. " Charley , are you all right?" asked Judy.

"Yeah mom, I'm fine. I've got to get back to my Trig" responded Charley.

"Nice to meet you , Charley" said Jerry. "See you. Soon "

Charley quickly ran off , leaving me there with Jerry and Mrs. Brewster.

"Well , I got to go , my grandma , must be worrying sick" I said,

"Ok, honey , take care. and tell your grandma , that poker has been moved"Judy responded.

As I was going to leave , she said "Hold on , young lady" I can't let go home alone" said Judy.

"It's ok , it's only a few feet away" I said.

"No , to dangerous , for a young girl , to me out there alone. Haven't you seen the news, people are being killed, around , these areas" responded Judy.

" Don't worry , Judy , I take her" said Jerry.

" That's good " responded Judy.

He said his goodbyes to Judy and then we left.

As we there my house , he smiled all the way , but he suddenly stop at the door.

"Thank you for walking me home" I said with a smiled.

" For nothing , beautiful" Jerry said and left.

I closed the door and giggle. I ran to my room and change into my pajamas .

I got in bed and started to think , on why Jerry , would look at me , like he know me from some time ago.
