Floating. I am floating. I can't see anything, and I can't feel any wind, but there is no doubt that I am suspended in the air. I feel nothing. I hear nothing. It's scary, considering what just happened. The world had exploded into a million bits of light. There was pain, but only for a second. Then there was nothing. There are things that I should be worried about. My friends, my sister. Except I feel nothing. Nothing at all. Maybe I am nothing. This void I am in, there isn't even the smallest breeze. But there is something else in here with me. I can sense it, or should I say him. Because whatever it is, it's breathing, living.

My body suddenly feels warm. A comforting heat. Like entering a warm room on a cold day. I can feel that thing's prescience more strongly, like he is closer. I try to call out. Except my mouth doesn't move. No matter how hard I try, I can't move anything.

My head goes light. There's a strange sensation, like having your mind broken into.

Hello? Can you hear me?

These words echo through my brain, but my ears don't receive any signals. Telepathy, I think to myself.

You are right to think that I am using telepathy, child. It is the only means of communication here.

How the hell did he hear that?

Telepathy is basically reading ones thoughts. I can your every thought clear as day. Not that I've seen day in a long time. He sighs. You must have many questions. But there really is not any point in me answering them. For you see, when you come out of this place, you will not retain any memories. Not of your past life or of your time here. Bu I still feel obliged to answer them. To quench your curiosity for now.

This is the void. A place that almost no one knows about. If fact, only known by me and now you. I came here when my experiment went wrong. I am not sure how you came here, though.

But I did see what happened in your world. Humanity really is broken. I do have the power to send you back. But what is the point when you have nothing left for you there? So, instead of taking you to your home, I will take you somewhere where I know you will be looked after and loved.

It's taking most of my power just to send you to this place. Your body will be damaged, but intact. Your mind however... I assure you that the memories will come back eventually. In the meantime, you will just have to make new levels ones.

I don't want to lose my memories.

You would rather stay here a suffer then? He seems mad. This is no place for a child to grow up in. I am trying to give you a second chance at life when I, myself, can't even see my sons again. The words are filled with grief. I have been trapped here for what feels like an eternity. I just...want to go...home.

I can't imagine. This person, he is willing to help me, without thinking of himself.

Pull yourself together, Wing Dings. Ready, human?

I nod inside my head. The warmth surrounding me gets more intense. I feel like I am being cooked alive. Then, suddenly, I go cold. My body feels like it's inflating like a balloon.

Oh god! Wait, child! Beware Char-! The last word gets swallowed up by a loud whooshing in my ears. I'm falling, falling, landing with a thump that resonates within my bones. I feel the breeze on me.

Then the agony hits at full force.
