Forty-Four hours earlier.

Somewhere in the USA

Eric stared at his console for a couple minutes rereading the message from Admiral Kinsley. He was surprised to see it was a request to the Labs and not his office. Eric was only a security officer so he had to give an update just about every day. He knew something was getting into the base and he had told the Admiral that a long time ago. He thought it was amazing that they even made it in since almost nobody knew the layout of the movement sensors and pressure sensors around the base were. The only people who know are the Admiral and the security department and clearly one other person or thing..

There were many situations Eric hated being a security officer, especially the 'one on top' of the others. Eric didn't mind though since he still had his share fair of intelligence and actually had an IQ of 219. He had been requested for the labs but had said no, so he was offered his current position. He was walking at a decent speed and was trying to get there when he was stopped by a fellow operator. "Hey Eric, can you do me a favor," said the operator.

"Hey Nate. I can just I have to see the Admiral real fast then I'll come see you in your quarters."

"Thanks Eric. I knew I could count on you."

"No problem."

He was always happy to help Nathan since they had gone way back. He started at a medium paced jog and by the time he was at the elevator he was out of breath. He put his key to the scanner and walked into the elevator and jammed his thumb into the button that read G. The G floor held the Labs and the scientists' rooms as well as the infirmary.

He sprinted down to the Labs and halted at Lab A then walked down the corridor to Lab C which to his surprise was a team of scientists and Admiral Kingsley himself. "Welcome Mr. Bingham," started Admiral Kingsley, "Glad you could make it."
