After being kidnapped as a young child, seventeen year old Scarlett Grey found her way home to her family. For months, she struggled to find a balance between the girl she'd left behind and the girl she had become. But she did. She had a family, she made friends, she fell in love, and she was finally happy.

That is, until she lost the most important person in her life to a merciless disease: her beloved mother.

She's completely fallen apart. One by one, she shut out the people closest to her: her father, her best friends, and even her boyfriend. And as a result, she's left to face the man who stole her innocence away all those years ago, completely alone.
