A picture's worth a thousand words
Is that what I correctly heard?

The people change but memories freeze
Circumstance flips and lovers leave

I can't quite fathom how it's so
You were here then had to go

I watched you dream and yearn for more
Guess I was nothing but a bore

I felt your pain; you felt my grief?
Then why was leaving such relief?

I changed my act; I changed ways
But none of it could make you stay

Or want me back for something more
Guess conversing's become a chore

I won't let me revolve around you
I've realized I've better things to do

So take our pictures and let them burn
It's all chalked up: lesson learned..
