My safe house

In this world
Of war and chaos,
You are my safe house.
You were my safe house.

I have learned it the hard way
That not all safe houses
Are strong and safe,
Mostly when it crumbles
From deep inside.

The bombs, again they fall
And I, again I run
But I keep forgetting
That there is nowhere else to go.
The place that once kept me safe,
I couldn’t keep safe
From my own monsters.

So I let the bombs fall down with my tears
So I let myself drown, deep with my fears
