The Early Life of a Hobbit(The Hobbit Fan-Fiction)

Many Secrets Never Told

     They walked to the forest and played a couple rounds of Conkers. Then Bilbo, not really meaning to ask this, but couldn't help it, "Wait, I told you a secret, now it's your turn. Tell me a secret that you never told anybody."
     "I told you almost every single secret," said Lucy. Then realizing her mistake, she regretted saying 'almost'.
     "'Almost'? Come on. You can trust me," pleaded Bilbo.
     Lucy started getting angry and she yelled at Bilbo, "Stop it Bilbo! I won't tell you anything!"
     Bilbo was shocked on her actions. She rarely yelled at him. Usually it was playful, sometimes it was emotions, or sometimes just to yell. (I don't know!)
     She sat on a log and looked into her hands. She was worried what might happen next. She was crying with confusion, sadness, and fear of the future.
     "I'm sorry Lucy. I never meant to push you. You don't have to. I was just playing." Explained Bilbo.
     "No Bilbo. This secret I've been wanting to tell you, but I promised my parents not to tell anyone, not even my closest friend. I don't want to end our friendship because of this reason." She felt tears streaming down her face. "I'm just scared."
Bilbo pulled her into a hug and said,"You don't have to tell me."
"No Bilbo, I have to tell you!"
"If you don't want to, you don't!"
"I have to Bilbo. You see, my great grandfather was married to a beautiful woman, but she wasn't a hobbit. She was an elf." Lucy said. "I have elf blood within me Bilbo. My grandfather was their son, and he was a hobbit's size, but had elvish traits inside him. He married my grandmother, and then they had my mother. My mother has very little traits of an elf. Me, I feel like I have some traits inside of me. I understand that you won't want to be friends with me anymore." Bilbo was shocked by this, but it didn't change how he felt about her. So he looked into he beautiful, brown, sad eyes.
     "You're crazy, Lucy! I will never end this friendship with you because of that. I will always care for you. I will never leave you because of a reason that is in the past! In fact, I will never leave you in my life. Just because you have elf blood in you, doesn't mean I won't like you, or be friends with you. I'm a little shocked that you have some, but not in a bad way. Not in the slightest! In the greatest way imaginable. You are part elf! That to me, is very cool."
     Lucy laughed, smiled, and hugged Bilbo for a long time. "Thank you Bilbo, for understanding me," said Lucy.
     "I'm always here for you," said Bilbo.
     She relaxed on his chest. Even though she didn't mention it, but she could hear his heart pounding fast, and she smiled. Bilbo felt his face get hot. He didn't know what to do, but hug her. He smiled along with her.
     You see, Bilbo is Lucy's greatest friend, even like a brother to her. He didn't know what he was to her, besides a great friend, of course. He wanted to be more than that though. He wanted to court her and love her. She was special to him. Bilbo has feelings for her since they were 12, although she was 12 and he 13. Anyway, Bilbo didn't know how to tell her. He was afraid that it will ruin their long relationship. He has soon came to a claim that he is just grateful to have her as a best friend;but it didn't feel right.
     "Bilbo, we should be getting to your house. I didn't leave a note for your parents," said Lucy, after a long time.
     "Okay. I didn't either. So yeah, let's go home." Said Bilbo.
     So they walked to Bag-End together, while Lucy was trying to figure out her gift, again!
     Once they got there, Lucy had to go home.
     "See you later Lucy," said Bilbo.
     "Bye Bilbo. I will figure out my gift, for I am very good at figuring out stuff." Said Lucy in a whisper to Bilbo.  They both laughed and said goodbye one last time.
     At that time, the sun was setting, the stars soon appeared, the moon came up, and then both of them soon went to bed, wondering about the future, and what adventure that life would take them.

     I know it's super late, but I'm bored! I'm going to the snow tomorrow (maybe, depending on how I'm feeling, on sickness terms) and I'm going to be super tired, but I think it'll be worth it. So, I hope that this is an okay chapter. I was thinking to save this chapter for a later chapter because, well, for reasons, but I think this is okay. So I hope that all of you people liked it.
