I remember when you told me you loved me,

But then you gave me a black eye

You said I was your best friend,

But Teddy was the one who saw me cry

You said to Mummy that you'd changed

But you hurt her later that night

You said you and Mummy loved each other,

But I had to block my ears to keep out the fight

You said we were a family,

But you weren't there - you were in jail

You said that I was naughty,

But the policeman I called said I 'd done well

You said to the judge you'd done nothing wrong,

But I'll always have the scars

You told me you hate me because I told,

But I still love you, even though I put you behind bars.

I'm sorry, Daddy.
