I wake up and slam my fist into my alarm clock. I have to go to Rodricks like every morning. But this time I have to give him my carton of smokes. I'm keeping one pack and last night I Chain smoked an entire pack. I feel bad about it but then again I don't. I sigh and get out of bed. Putting on a black and grey shirt that comes of one of my shoulders black tights. And a black leather skirt that has golden chains attached to it. Along with black combat boots. I curl my hair and leave it down. I decide to do a smokey eye and winged eyeliner. I hardly ever wear makeup but maybe if I look good looking today Rodrick will forget about wanting my carton of smokes. i grab my board and my leather backpack.
After making a coffee, I run out of the house, and across the street. I run into the kitchen and am surprised to see Rodrick actually in the kitchen already.
"Hey guys" I say, grabbing a piece of toast off the the table. then hug Manny from behind and kiss the top of his head. When I stand up Rodrick gives me a side hug.
"Mom, me and Sky gotta go" Rodrick says
"Yea mom me too bye" Greg says
"No guys wait I need a moment for a family meeting " Rodrick, Greg and I all turn on our heels "Boys, your father and I have been talking, things between you two have really gotten out of hand." Susan starts
"Can I just say..." Rodrick starts
"you might not realize it now, but having a brother is one of the most important relationships of your life. I mean, one day you're gonna be Uncle Greg and Uncle Rodrick to each others kids. That's important" Susan says. Greg and Rodrick look confused
"What?" Greg and Rodrick say
"Which is why I've created a system that will reward you for spending time together, I call it.... Mom Bucks, now for every hour you two spend together without fighting you each earn a mom buck." Susan says
"Your paying us with fake money?" Rodrick says
"How does any of this relate to me?" I ask
"I'll get to you in a second Skyler, now lets say Rodrick, you give Greg a drum lesson, you each earn a mom buck, which you can then trade in, for one real dollar" Susan says "Now to start you off, I'm giving you each 5 mom bucks, now if you're smart you'll save up your mom bucks"
"Can I cash out now" Rodrick interrupts
"Well yes but-" Susan starts
"I wanna cash out now" Rodrick says handing Susan the mom bucks.
"Alright fine" Susan says. and then she looks at me "While I'm thinking of it, here's the money I owe you for babysitting Manny when I took the boy's school shopping" Susan hands me 50$
"Susan this is too much" I say trying it give it back
"Nonsense honey, you deserve it, and by the way, I talked to your parents and they said it's okay for you to come to Rockin' Rapids this weekend and they are going out of town today till next week so you are spending the next few days here" Susan says. I nod, and Rodrick, Greg and I walk out of the kitchen.
"Listen twerp, this Mom Bucks thing is a gold mine, you better not ruin this for me" Rodrick tells Greg. Then we walk to the van in silence. After getting in the van, I look at Rodrick.
"Rod, we need to talk" I say
"About what Sky?" Rodrick asks
"The kiss" I say
