Chapter 17: Hurt Train

Dally's POV

I woke up with my arms still wrapped around Y/N, and her arms still wrapped around me. I looked down at her smiling while she was sleeping, she's so cute. I looked at the clock it was 12 o'clock in the afternoon. Damn we slept that long? I carefully took Y/N's arms off of me, I didn't wanna wake her up. I got dressed and was a about to write a note for Y/N telling her where I was going, but she woke up. "Morning Dal." She said rubbing her eyes smiling. "Morning Pretty Baby." I walked over to her and kissed her. "Go get dressed we're going to Pony's house." i said pulling away from the kiss. "Alright."

***time skip***

When we got to Pony's house, the whole gang was there, no surprise there. We walked in, my arm still wrapped around her, the gang turned and looked at us. "Well?" Soda asked smiling. "She's mine girl." I said smiling, I turned to her and kissed her. The gang started cheering. "Well congratulations you two." Darry said smiling. "You want any coffee or chocolate cake, a beer?" he asked. "I'm good." I said. "I'll take some coffee." Y/N said walking over to Darry.

"Damn Dally how did you do it?" Two-Bit asked. "You luck you acted fast, I could have got her." He winked, and the whole gang laughed. "Is that so?" I asked laughing. "No but seriously how did you do it?" he asked. "Honestly I thought she was gonna say no." I said. "Did she like the flowers?" Pony and Johnny said at the same time. "Yeah she loved them actually." I said smiling, remembering that she walked back to the bench and grabbed the red rose I handed her before we left the park last night. Pony and Johnny high fived each other.

Your POV

I walked into the kitchen with Darry. "You can go ahead and take a seat at the table I'll take your coffee and whatever you put in it to ya." Darry said pulling out a seat at the table. How polite. "Thanks Darry." I said smiling at him. "So how was last night? Everything go okay?" He asked. I wasn't sure how I should answer. If I should be 100% honest or 50%, I don't wanna lie to him, the gang is like my new family so I should be honest with them, right? "It was good, I didn't know Dally was so romantic." I couldn't bring myself to tell Darry what really happened. "Well the whole flowers things was something pony and Johnny told him to do. But when it comes to people he really cares about, Dally is a whole different person. And he really cares about you. you should've seen the look on his face the night you two meet, and when he was telling me what those socs did to you, his eyes were filled with anger. The way he was lookin at you while cleaning your cuts up, and the way he held you in his arms... I have never seen him smile and look at a girl the way he looks at you." Darry explained handing me the coffee and sugar. "Has Dally ever cared for his past girlfriends as much as he cares for me?" I asked, because if Dally hasn't then what makes me so special to him? "Honesty I don't think he has. Every girl he has dated before are greaser girls too, but they were... how do I say this? They acted like sluts, excuse me for saying that, but it's the truth. They really don't care for anyone, all they care about is how they look. They're not loyal." Darry said taking a seat across from me. 

We walked out to living room, all the guys were watching Mickey Mouse. I took as seat next to Dally on the floor. He grabbed my hand and held it. He looked at me and smiled, a genuine smile, I smiled back. "Hey Y/N do you mind going to the store and grabbing a couple things for me?" Darry asked. I was surprised that he asked me instead of Soda, Two-Bit, Steve, or even Dally. "Yeah sure what do you need?" I asked standing up, Dally quickly standing up too. "I wrote them down right here. Here's the money, sorry for making you go but I have a really bad headache right now." He said handing my the money and the shopping list. "Oh that fine." I grabbed my leather jacket and headed for the door. Dally grabbed my wrist and spun me around. "I don't want you walking alone." He whispered to me, but I guess not quiet enough. "Oh don't worry Dally she can take my truck, you do know how to drive right?" Darry asked throw me the keys to his truck. "Of course I do." I said as I caught the keys. "Um Dally you stay here I need to talk to you." Darry said. Dally turned to me and pulled me in for a kiss. "Be careful." he whispered to me. "I will. Hey Darry can Pony and Johnny come with me?" I asked looking over at Pony and Johnny. As soon as I said that their eyes lit up and smiled. "Yeah sure thing, if they wanna g-" Before Darry can finish his sent they ran over to me and literally almost tackled me. "I guess that's a yes, take care of them." Darry yelled the last part because we were already outside. "Will do Darry!" I yelled back.

Me, Johnny, and Pony got in the truck, in that order. "Hey Y/N if you have enough money can we stop at Dairy Queen?" Pony asked leaning forward so I can see him. "Yeah but first seat belts." I said smiling as both Johnny and Pony hurried to buckle up. "Alright let's go."

Dally's POV

"Alright enough of that." Darry said turning off the TV. "HEY!" Two-Bit screamed. "Oh shut it, Dally has something important to say." As soon as Darry said that the whole gang looked at me. "Well I just wanted to you Darry, but I guess their gonna find out sooner or later, and they should know." I took a deep breath. "S-so after Y/N said yes, Bob and his gang came...and things didn't go too good." I was trying hard to keep tears from falling, but I felt the build more and more. "Don't tell me they hurt Y/N." Soda said in a worried tone. I nodded my head. "What did they do to her?" Two-Bit asked, with a worried look in his eyes. "T-They, well Bob him um...touched her...down there." I said pointing down, tears started to fall. "Hey it's okay, well it's not okay that he did that to her but, she okay he didn't kill her or cut her." Darry said wrapping an arm around my shoulder. " Where were you when he did that to her?" Steve asked. "R-Randy and two other socs were beating me up." I explained to him in between sobs. "But I-I feel like a terrible boyfriend, I-I could've done somethin quicker than what I did." I said. "Hey don't say that. You had three socs on you, you couldn't gotten there that quick. No one could... not even meathead over here." Soda said in a calm relaxing tone. "Don't worry Dally those fuckers are gonna have a hurt train coming after them." Steve said sitting straight up. "Yeah their gonna have more than a broken nose after we're done with them." Two-Bit said. Darry and Soda looked at me and nodded their heads in agreement. "No one hurts someone who's like family to us and gets away with it." Darry said. It meant a lot to me that the would risk getting hurt to help defend someone that I love with a my heart.
