"Barbón", started she in very sad voice,
"It was a child then, left with no choice;
"Lived happily years ago in a country once,
With my family, a farm to grow some crumbs."

"It was a prosperous life that flew,
Until the time the streams went drew;
Tampered away with the harsh changes,
We had nothing, not even spared compensates."

"None lent a help when we'd starved,
Battling against prejudice we'd carved!
Circumstances had lethally changed,
That posed before us a great challenge."

We crossed the vast sea and came here,
As to avoid any further loss severe.
We came here for some fields to grow,
Not for lust or greed as you may know."

"We escaped a near death in the sea,
From thunders that cracked violently -
Then safe and sound, embarked by waves,
We arrived the continent here enclave."

"And me, and my family dear,
Felt darkness of silence so near;
We roamed the jungle night-and-day,
Thought of escape, by any way."

"Terrified were we, but not accepted lose,
As those who had, their lives falls;
Hope kept us alive, and filled us confidence,
Might and will, had drank all tolerance."

"Few days after we stepped on shore,
We found no sign of any folklore,
One fine morn there came gentle tune,
Coming behind a frill of forest attune."

"Ahóy fellas! Hear the music there!
Such fine and sweet leaving me cheer!
My mind dances with each tone I hear!
I'm lost in its divinity, oh dear, oh dear!"

"I was mesmerized by that tune,
It seized the senses and made me lune;
Slowly I headed the way from where,
This hypnotic melody bloomed in the air.

"I lost over my senses by then,
Suddenly shrieked our alert Captain -
"Stop María! Not a step further!
Awaits here may be hidden danger!"

"I had gone already too far,
My family, screaming they are!
But the damage had been done,
The disaster awaken, left me stun!"

"Chaos erupted from the silent land,
My feet trembled, fell of as I stand;
Brutally it shook around I see -
As fell one by one the mighty canopy."
