Marie Williams was different. With her two-toned skin, people were always staring and assuming stories about "what happened" to her. She was forced to get used to the constant unwanted attention from strangers at all hours of the day.To distract from her life she poured herself into the art of ballet and became very flexible. She could twirl and pirouette, but no matter what she did people couldn't judge her for what she was proud of, only for what she looked like.
Then she met Constantine. Tattoos covering his whole body, he too was criticized for his appearance. Marie found that he could understand just what she was going through, and she loved that. She loved having someone who shared her struggles.
Just when she thought her life couldn't change any more, Constantine dragged her to P.T. Barnum's circus. A place where the oddities could shine, Marie felt at home. She could dance without fear of being condemned by the upper class.
But in a world where a human's first instinct is to judge, people get hurt. And a certain fire-breather couldn't help but steal the show.

I sincerely hope that you enjoy this book!
