I don't know. I might be trying different styles here and there, as time progresses. I'll also put simple shapes for future background for simple artworks as well, so it adds more to the look of the drawing.
Also the girl in the drawing looks like a powerpuff girl and I can't get the show out of my head now (the good and original one is what I'm talking about).
