I found myself,
In the new year,
All along I was a dark shadow hidden in darkness,
I savored in self pity,
Believing that was all that mother earth could offer,
Then I found this ocean,
The ocean of self love
And I quenched my thirst ,
It's then that my shadow faded,
I saw the light,
I discovered more of myself,
It gave me a second chance,
To savor the sweetness of rediscovering a lost self.
It's always bright even at night.
