"Because I ruin lives, I destroy them."

"Madyson, why would you say that?"

"I-I can't right now." I stood up and walked to my bed space. I suddenly grew tired and just before I fell asleep, Jayden came in.

"Madyson?" Jayden asked.

"Yeah?" There was a long pause. This was awkward, Jayden hasn't spoken to me since the kiss, so here it goes.

"Can I talk to you?"

Madyson's POV

"Uh ... yeah, sure."

"I-I'm sorry."

"Wh-" I began to ask when he interrupted me again.

"I didn't mean to kiss you on stage."

"Let's not talk about this right now."

"Did I do something wrong?"

"No , I'm just tired and I can't properly think at the moment."

"Okay, I'm sorry."

"It's fine just know I'm not too worried about what happened tonight, okay?"
I gave him a reassuring smile.

"Okay." He smiled back and walked away. As I laid my head down, my thoughts instantly went away and sleep took over me.

Jayden's POV

That's it, I ruined it. I thought that just maybe the kiss would spark something in her and she'd take interest in me.

I always mess everything up...

Madyson's POV

"No, I think she's just exhausted." I heard a voice say. Slowly , I opened my eyes to see everyone next to me.

"Uhh.."

"Sorry Madyson , we didn't mean to wake you." Anslee apologized.

"It's fine , I needed to get up and walk around anyway."

"Oh sounds perfect. I think we'll leave in fift-"

"No!" I quickly cut off. "I mean sorry guys but I think I just wanna walk this one alone if you know what I mean."

"Madyson it's not safe."

"Anslee I get it. I think I'll be okay."

"Fine." I got ready and slowly headed out the bus door. This is exactly what I needed , peace and quiet. I sat down on a swing in then park and put my head down. Is this what I wanted? I can't fall for Jayden. I mean all I can do is hope for the best and-

"You okay?" I looked up to see a boy sitting next to me.

"Y-yeah, just thinking."

"I mean I don't want to be annoying but you seemed," He paused and looked at me. "distracted. If you know what I mean."

"Yeah."

"What's going on?"

"I-I just m-mess everything up."

"I bet you don't."

"I bet you don't know who I am." He suddenly stiffened up and turned towards me.

"Look at me." His bright green eyes met mine. They looked oddly familiar. He had blonde hair that clearly had been swept aside several times through habit. "I know exactly who you are , but that doesn't mean my thoughts on you will change."

"W-what does that mean?"

"I'm saying you look ... distracted and I want to help." He fiddled with his fingers.

"Well that's very kind of you but I don't think you'd want to sort my mess out." I stood up and brushed off my jeans. "I never did catch your name."

"Kyle." He said. "Kyle Fite."

Oh my gosh.

"You were Chase's best friend. How could I forgot." I began to break down in tears.

"Hey hey!" He ran towards me and hugged me. "It's okay."

"Kyle?!" Eli asked.

"Hey man. Haven't seen you in forever."

"I kno-" He stopped. "What's going on here?"

"Madyson , can I talk to Eli alone please ?"

"Y-yeah." I stepped away and walked into the bus and straight to my bed but then stopped.

Kyle Fite.

I can't believe it.

I turned around and walked towards Jayden.

"Yes?" He asked. I wrapped my arms around him and comfort washed over me. When I let go of him , he looked at me and I closed the gap between us.

I kissed Jayden Winston.

And it felt right.

Wow I'm a horrible person. I didn't update for almost 4 months now. or something like that. anyway i'm sorry this chapter sucks and i just needed to update and yeah i can't promise it'll be soon but i hope it will. it's also not edited but when is it ever?!
i hope you guys haven't given up on me but i know i've given up on myself hahaha.
