"The battle has already begun," said Kurapika.
"Yeah, everyone's removed their ID tags, and hid them," commented Leorio.
"Well, you're free to do as you like, for the next two hours. Please enjoy the boat ride..." The lady then walks away, waving.
There is some silence for a moment. Then Leorio starts to strike up a conversation with Kurapika. Gon had already taken a seat on the edge of the boat a little ways away, so me and Killua saunter over to join him.
"Yo," greets Killua. He takes a seat next to him and I sit next to Killua. We all just stare up at the sky for a bit.
"Hey Kat," says Gon.
"Yes?" I reply.
"Would you mind... uh... maybe singing a few songs for us? Just to make the trip less boring?" I look over at him to see him smiling shyly at me. "To be honest, I'm actually a big fan of yours."
"Really? Then I'd be honored to sing a bit. Especially for my friend!" I smile widely at him and stand up. At the sudden movement, everyone looks at me. I turn to Gon. "Let me get dressed for the occasion first!" I wink and head over to the door where the lady disappeared. I walk in and go down the stairs into a large room where the lady and the captain were sitting.
"Excuse me, is there a bathroom I can use?" I ask politely. The lady jerks upright, startled.
"Y-Yes, over there." She points over to a door on her right.
I thank her and head in. I tap my foot onto the floor twice and a pinkish red magic circle pops up. I sink into it and pop back up wearing a completely different outfit.
I come out wearing a green, strapless dress. The skirt of it looks like green leaves, the top layer a darker green and the one underneath a lighter green, the points pointing down. Pink roses line the edge of the top. Light green vines curl my legs up to my thighs. My shoes are light pink flats. I walk out of the bathroom and back up to the deck. Everyone turns their attention to me and I turn on my cutesy star attitude. I grin and make a peace sign with my left hand and bring it up sideways to my left eye so my two fingers are on the bottom and top of my left eye.
"You all ready?" I call. A few mumbles from the crowd answer me. "Okay! Let's go!" I yell as I throw my left hand in the air.
I sang for the entire first hour. About halfway in, people finally started to get into the groove. The captain heard what I was doing and apparently, he was a fan too! So he brought up a radio from below the deck. He had all my CDs, which were only three, and he put them in according to what song I wanted to sing or what song someone requested.
After that first hour, I began to get pretty tired after all the dancing and singing, so I left my concert there. Everyone was pretty sad, but at least half of our time was used up. I went below deck, changed, and came back up.
"So... Was I good?" I asked as I sat in between the boys. I turned to Killua. He just turned away and didn't say anything.
'Maybe he's just in one of his moods...' I decided to ignore him and turned to Gon. His eyes were gleaming and he hugged me.
"That was awesome, Kat!" He let go. "I'm just so grateful I got a free concert!" He grinned. I smiled back at him. Then he surprised me by grabbing my hand. "Will you sing for me again sometime? Maybe you can visit Whale Island! I know a lot of people would want to- hey!"
He was interrupted by someone pulling on the back of my top. He wrapped me in his arm, just over my chest. I blinked, not knowing what to do. I felt Killua shift til he was looking at Gon. I couldn't see his expression.
