Oliver
I kissed Elio like I should have.
He loved me.
And I had just thrown him away.
We were standing in the backyard.
And suddenly it started raining.
We kissed unaware of the rain that was soaking us.
I love you...I love you...I love you...I love you
Elio's words kept ringing in my head.
" I love you back " I said thinking out loud leaning my forehead on his intertwining our hands.
Elio stared into my eyes.
He smiled once again.
I smiled back and drew circles on his cheek.
This couldn't be.
But at least I had to make love to him one last time.
" I want you " I whispered smiling.
Elio smiled and dragged me to his room. My room. Our room.
We made love.
It was a passionate love.
It was perfect.
But as soon as it came. It soon ended.
I woke up and wore my clothes again.
I decided to leave him a message.
I wrote him a letter
Dear Elio,
I had to go.
I just had to give you one last night of love until I would never kiss you or make love to you again.
We had a wonderful summer. But that was all it could ever be.
I love my wife. I love my family. I just wish you could be a part of it. But I don't want to make you uncomfortable with the jealousy. So I'm not asking you to meet them. But if you do decide to move on from the summer I will never forget. Come over to my house next Hanukkah. We'll celebrate together. If you don't want to that's okay too.
I loved you back
Never forget just how much I loved you.
Goodbye, Oliver.
You were the love of my life.
Lots of love,
Oliver
