There was an unspoken rule in Guy Realm that clearly stated he couldn't feel anything for the girlfriend (EX-girlfriend, his mind reminded) of his best friend. And it wasn't as if he had done his best to deny his feelings. Despite what people thought, James Diamond was a considerate person sometimes. After his last nasty fight with Carlos over Heather, James Diamond had learned his lesson.
