Ch) 7 Choosing the Black Sheep's Crook

"And that concludes all of the matches." William started off.  "Now to the selections...When your number is called, please come forward. Whichever captain wants that test, please to your hand. The choice to enter the Magic Knights that chooses you, as well as choosing between multiple orders, if that happens, is up to you kids. And like I said before, if no one raises their hands, that means that you've failed  this test. Now then, Number 1, step forward."

"116, Failed." Contestant put his head in shame.

"141, Failed." As William said this, contestant 141 said, "Yeah, that's really all I'm worth." as he slowly walked away from the front so the others can go. As the numbers get higher and higher and getting close to his number, Asta started to get nervous. 'Dammit, I'm about to piss into my pants.'

"Number 164." As William said this, Yuno stepped forward towards the front of everyone else. All of the captains slowly raised there hands. Sooner or later, all the captains raised their hands. Everyone whispered things like "He's the first one to have all of the captains to raised their hands at the same time. 'I'll choose the guild that help me get to my dreams quicker.' Yuno thought as he said, "I would like to request Golden Sunrise please." William just faintly smirked as Yuno went to the sidelines with the other contestants. You can hear one of Yami's companion's saying, "Aww, of course one of the good ones goes to that guild.

"Number 165." Asta bravely stepped forward like his worries went away. This is one step to help Asta get closer to get his dreams to come true. He didn't care which guild that he gets to as long he gets into somewhere to help him dreams to become the wizard king. As he stands in the center of the front row, no one in a long while raised their hands. He was flabbergasted, he thought he could make it in. As he look behind him he can see (Y/N) with sadness in her eyes. People around him were telling him to leave, telling him that he couldn't do it, and he was holding up the line. Yami just laugh at his attempt. "Just beecause your fighting skills are good, that doesn't mean your good at anything else. Magic is what keep a magic knights going in a fight." Yami started off as he jumped off of the balcony and into the arena, releasing a large mass of mana scaring everyone except for the captains, (Y/N), and Yuno. Asta seemed scared but tried to keep his posture. "NO ONE WANTS YOU BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO MAGIC POWER. YOU SAID THAT YOU WERE AIMING TO BE THE WIZARD KING, RIGHT? THAT MEANS THAT YOU'RE GOING TO SURPASS ALL 9 CAPTAINS HERE. DO YOU STILL THINK THAT YOU, A GUY WHO HAVE NO MAGIC POWER SAY THAT TO MY FACE!?"

Asta took a deep breath and said, "I don't care if I don't get chosen here today. No matter how many times I trip up, no matter  who says what to me..." Yuno and (Y/N) smirked, already knowing what he is going to say. "I WILL be the wizard king!"

Whispers goes around the room like, "What, he's still saying that?", and "Like hell someone from the stix will be the wizard king." But for Yami, oh boy, get ready because he really out did himself.

Laughed.

"You're funny!!" He said with a grin on his face. Asta just stood there with the most stunned faced in the world. Just like everyone else, they were also flabbergasted as well, dumbstruck with this information.  "Join the Black Sheep's Crook." Yami said as he points to Asta. In a flash, he expression changed to a grin, to a scary look. "By the way, you have no say in the matter." He looked like he was ready to knock out the living daylights out of him. Asta soon join Yuno at the sidelines to see where (Y/N) will be placed.

(Y/N)'s POV

'Okay, now I need try to be in the same guild as Asta. I wonder why Yuno wants me to protect him?'

Flashbacks

Just as I finished with my battle, Yuno and Asta congratulated me. Asta, being his hyper self, was jumping up and down seeing he was so impressed that I was able to eat fire and breath it like a dragon. I decided not to tell him the full story of dragon slayer magic. I'm going to keep it a secret for now. Yuno pulled me to a side from Asta for a bit. When I looked back, he had an angry look on his face? I wonder why?

"Hey (Y/N)?"

"Yeah Yuno?"

"I want you to take care of Asta.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, if Asta going to get into a guild I want you to try to be near him, so you can take care of him."

"I don't really know what you mean, but okay!" I said, giving him a bright smile. I swear I saw him turn red for a second.

Present

"Number 165." As I get closer, just like Yuno, every captain raised their hands again. Whispers goes around the room once again. I guess it is weird that two people from the stix gets to get all 9 captains to raise their hands. It's already rare enough for at least 2 captains to raise their hands. I look over to Yuno and he nodded his head. I put my head up and spoke very loudly,

"I would like to join the Black Sheep's Crook." Everyone around me started to whisper things like, "If I was her, I would of choosen Golden Sunrise." and "Why would she waste her opportunity for the best guild offer." While people say random nonsense around, I looked up at Yami and he just had I smirk on his face. I moved to the sidelines like the other who had passed an walked over to Asta and Yuno.

Timeskip

As soon as the tests are over Yuno, Asta, and I meet up before we split our own ways. Asta had to leave early because of the food that he ate earlier. 'Heh, silly Asta.' As soon as I though this, I saw the guy who challenged Asta looking mad towards the bathroom.

"Hey Yuno, can you go to the restrooms to see if there's any trouble in there. I have a bad feeling about this one." I said, giving I serious expression that no one wants to mess with. He just nodded and followed thee guy I think his name was Pee... or something like that. I know, know that's not nice but it's not my fault this his hair looks like yellow pee just because they didn't drink enough water.

After a while, Yuno told me what happened and we said our goodbyes
