chapter twenty six

Lucy pov

Yawn. I woke up in my bed. I smiled and I got up and went downstairs.

I made some breakfast and my mom came to me looking pissed.

"I heard you made it rain paint yesterday." she said.

"It was either only me or everybody else and they seemed happy because they do what I do."

"So if you got in a fight, they would do the same thing?" she asks.

"Yup but you know how it is "

"Yup now hurry with your breakfast, we have a meeting with your principal." she said.

"On a Saturday?" I ask.

"Yup and you're not the only one going." she says.

"Ok fine." I said and got upstairs to get ready.

I put on some fresh clothes and brushed my hair.

I went back downstairs and we were all ready to go.

We drove to school in silence and I saw BEN, Toby, Jeff, and Clockwork by herself. I think I knew what was going on.

I got out of the car and joined my friends.

"Hey guys." I say as I walk up to them.

"LUCY!" they screamed and devoured me in a hug.

"Haha ok so do you guys know why we're here today?" I asked.

"No actually." Toby says scratching his head.

"I might know." I say.

They listen closer to what I say.

"Ms. Clock over there probably told the principal we had a plan about the dance and now we are going to be in trouble." I say.

Then we see the principal walk out and motion us to come in his office.

One by one we each talk about what happened last night at the dance.

Toby pov

"I swear it was all Clockworks idea to ruin our lives at the dance." I say.

"But you helped out with the plan. Did you not?" the principal asked.

"I did."

"Well then. You will have detention this Saturday and you will stay here all day."

"What?!" I get angered.

"You are dismissed now." he says and I storm off past my friends.

BEN pov

"BEN, your turn." Mr. Slenderman says and I walk into his office.

"Ben did you help with the plan?" he asks.

"Yeah to help Lucy because I didnt want her to get humiliated." i say to defend my friend. I wanted to. When we danced at the dance yesterday,she was so adorable. But she likes Toby and they are dating.

"Well now we know who has detention on Saturday. Can you bring Jeff in on your way out."

I got up and left and told Jeff to go in. I then walked away.

Lucy pov

I waited until Jeff was finished talking to the principal. When he walked out he seemed happy. Then the principal came and told me to go into his office.

"So you were the one who came up with the plan?" he asks.

"Yeah and you should only blame me because they didnt have anything to do with it and it was all me." I state.

"Well then, you will serve detention on Saturday for the whole day. Thanks for coming and ill see you on Monday." he says and shakes my hand.

I got up and instead of getting a ride from my mom, I walked in the rain thinking I got the guys in trouble and its all my fault.
