Chapter 22: Star crossed lovers

~•~

Olivia stood on the balcony attached to Draco's room with the boy at her side, acting as a security blanket and heater as the bitter wind kissed her bare skin. The pair had engaged in conversation after conversation and were finding it hard to keep formalities up, Olivia especially.

Her mind cast back to the last conversation she'd had with the Minister before the pair had abruptly called a break. Regarding how she was coping with the sudden and close death of her parents and Cedric, something she really wasn't expecting but answered her best nonetheless. Draco quipped in when she hesitated and held her hand the whole way though, squeezing back whenever she tightened her grip.

She didn't know what time it was or when she was leaving but she wanted to meet her actual goal for the night; spend quality time with her boyfriend. Their hands were adjoined and resting on the railing of the balcony, Olivia's head resting on Draco's shoulder as they stood comfortably in the silence.

"I love you." Olivia mumbled into the wind as it subsided slightly.

"I love you too."

She hadn't expected the boy to hear but she was glad he did. Lifting her head from his shoulder she turned to face him as he did the same, and rested his hand comfortably on the small of her lower back, the heat radiating through her dress and on to her skin. She aimlessly began fixing Draco's tie and straightening out his dress robes when he grabbed her wrists gently.

"You're nervous." His head was cocked slightly to the side as his eyes scanned her face.

She shook her head, "Nervous no, agitated possibly."

"They mean the same."

"They do?"

Draco only nodded, seeing her frown he released one of her hands and caressed her cheek with his thumb, "What's on your mind love?"

Olivia's frown deepened as her eyes flickered anywhere but Draco, she became fidgety as her weight was constantly transferred from one leg to another.

To lie or not to lie?

"It's just that–" Her sentence caught in her throat as she decided on the safer option of what was on her mind, "I don't think you're parents are a big fan of me."

"That's not true, mother loves you."

"We both know I'm not talking about your mother Drea."

"So fuck, since when did you care about the opinion of someone. What were your words in second year? Oh yeah, 'think what you want of me it doesn't effect the way I live my life' take your own advise Liv." Olivia nodded her head as Draco's hands made their way to the small of her back again and hers looped around his neck, "Now lets just make the most of the little time we have alone for once." He smirked before leaning in a kiss.

As his lips met hers Olivia felt all her stress and worry instantly melt away, just by one simple action he calmed her down instantly and she loved the effect he had on her. Olivia's heart truly belonged to the boy and she wouldn't have it any other way.

With the advantage of her heels she tugged at the roots of the boys hair although found it slightly harder as he'd gelled it back. Draco ran his hands from the girl's back and down to her bum where he squeezed it gently just as he bit on her lip. She smirked into the kiss and leaned forwards some more just as he pulled away and silently took her hands in his, leading her indoors to his bedroom where he pushed her gently down on his bed.
