I fed the horses for them and brushed each out. Some sports car pulled into the drive. I weaved through the gentle giants grabbing the hoof pick. I started cleaning Blue's hooves out seeing a little over growth that can be filed down. I then went into the small tack room grabbing the file. I went back cleaning them out and filing before realizing a farrier needed to do this. The car was now off. The person that stepped out of the car had my stomach churning.

I wish I had gone with them to work. Blue stood between us along with the other three horses. I went into the tack room locking the door from the inside. I had to call. "Charlie. What's wrong?" Andrew said picking up. "He's here. I know exactly what he wants too. He knows my horse he knows I'm here. He's outside coming this way." "Charlotte. Calm down aggele. Where are you?" He asked. "In the tack room with the door locked." I said almost sobbing.

"Shh. Calm down. We're on our way. Our boss was already warned when I told him he was out of his parole area. Stay put. Keep quiet. We're almost there. I'm putting Jasper on. Just listen ok. We'll be there real quick." He said before Jasper started talking to me. I kept quiet and sat there as he talked in a quiet, calm voice. "How close is he?" I heard Drew ask in the background. I moved to the side peeking out. I took a picture sending it.

"Stay right there Char. Ok? I'm going to tell you where you need to be. Behind both saw horses is a wooden door that latches on the outside. Only Drew and I know it's there. Go over to it and just sit there. Don't move an inch. You'll be hidden away from him if he breaks that front door open." I did as he said making sure not to make any noise. As soon as I crouched down there was a jingle at the knob. Then a chuckle. I sent them a text.

Before he could break the door down a hand clamped over my mouth. I caught Jasper's scent on his skin as I was pulled back. His other arm wrapped around me. I leaned my head back meeting his hazel eyes. He stood up taking me with him. He released his hand from my mouth. He raised one finger to his lips a silent way of saying be quiet. I nodded. He kept the one arm around me starting back into the woods. When we were a good distance away from the door he started for my house.

When we were halfway there he started crouching taking me with him. He held me to him. I saw Kyle being pushed back. Andrew was standing over him. His bare back displayed to us. I didn't want to be near the guy that nearly killed me. Jasper tightened his hold. "Your good Char. As long as he's no where near you, your fine. I'm right here. I'm staying right here." He kissed my temple. Andrew blocked the view. "That's the cue. Come on. Your coming with me back to the ranch." He said standing taking me with him.

He finally picked me up carrying me. We went around my house. He set me down around the back. "Do you need anything?" He asked. "Not unless you and Andrew want some lunch." I said. "We don't need it. We'll grab some lunch and tell the boss we went for lunch after a family crisis. Your family to us Char." He said. We got to the truck just before a gun went off. He pushed me in and held me there. "Stay with me. I know him. He's going to be here in a little bit." He said.

As he said, Andrew came right up to the truck and got in. He started it up and drove. I could hear him muttering something. As we drove by Jasper blocked the view. With Andrew driving I didn't know what was going to happen. He pulled off onto a road and parked on the side. He sighed shutting the engine off. He looked over at me. Then pulled me to him. He kissed all over my face holding me to him.
