FOURTEEN

The next day was a big, big day for both brothers.

And of course their friends.

They would reunite and be that special small family once again.

They would be one again.

Daniel would bring the other boys with him to meet in the park as Seongwoo would bring Minhyun.

During their little reunion in the park, there were many tears shed.

It was like they were all children once again.

There were hugs going around and lots of talking.

There was laughter here and there.

But there was something going through Daniel and Seongwoo's minds.

They were thinking about that one playground.

The one they'd promised to back to when they were older.

Memories are like a garage in the ocean.

I'm lost in them all day.

And so, they decided to distract themselves.

They all went to the open field to play a game of baseball.

Why?

Because it let them relive their good old days.

And within that game of baseball, Daehwi, as usual still didn't how to play.

But did he care?

Nope.

The boys screamed and cheered and they heard the occasional psycho laugh from Jaehwan.

And usual, Jihoon would show Daehwi his amazing pitch as Woojin made some weird or unneeded reaction.

Seongwoo sighed.

They really hadn't changed at all.

They all looked like they grew up with so much love.

Seongwoo was happy about that.

And now it was midday.

Which meant it was lunch time.

They all sat in a circle, eating triangle kimbap and some other stuff.

Days passed, and all eleven of them were always together.

They even had a group chat on Kakaotalk.

But since Seongwoo and Minhyun both had their exam coming up, the rest of the boys decided not to bother them.

That exam was incredibly important.

And they genuinely hoped their two friends would pass.

And at the same time, Jihoon had constant training for his upcoming boxing match.

Maybe this was how it was supposed to be.

Maybe if Seongwoo hadn't gone missing, and Minhyun hadn't left, maybe just maybe this is how it would all have been.

Maybe all eleven of them would be working as cleaners in the gym.

Maybe they'd find some other job.

Who knew?

Daniel knew that Seongwoo used to do volunteer work during high school, and now that he's a student in the police academy, he couldn't do any of that work.

His brother and one of his best friends were fully dedicated to passing that exam.

He really wished they would pass and graduate.

But Daniel did have faith.

He had trust.

But he didn't have pixie dust.

It was good enough for him.

And just like that, he smiled.

You make me feel so high; I'm going crazy.

I can't stop.

He was always told to always remember to be happy because he'd never know if someone was falling in love with his smile.

And that was probably why he had so many girls around him in high school.

He technically rejected all of them.

Because of the search for his brother.

Now that that was clear from his to-do list, he could do almost whatever he pleased.
