After Ursula's argument with Edward, she bolted off into the woods. She'd never be able to explain her feelings for Paul. She tries so hard to resist the pull towards him. But she couldn't. She wanted nothing more than to cross the treaty line and wrap her arms around him.

But she couldn't. Her mate rejected her, mere hours after they'd met. Everything was so confusing. All Ursula wanted was some clarity on the situation.

.........

Ursula drove Edward and Bella to school that morning. She needed to talk to the human about what had happened during the weekend. Before she could do that, she caught the scent of one of the wolves.

"You two stay in the car." She said, getting out.

She walked through the parking lot, and found a pack member leaning against a motorcycle.

"What're you doing here mutt?" She asked, trying to keep her anger in check.

"I'm here to tell you to keep off our land. Leech."

"Jacob?"

Ursula sighed.

"Charlie said you left town."

"Yeah. To visit my mom. Why?"

Edward snorted in disbelief.

"He's checking to see if you're still human."

Bella looked at Jacob in disbelief.

"Look," Jacob said, turning to Edward. "I'm here to warn you, if your kind come on our land again......."

"What?" Bella asked.

"During our chase with Victoria, Emmett got caught up in the moment and nearly crossed the line. Paul intercepted, and knocked him into the river. I tried to intervene, but Paul charged and I threw him to the ground. He got back up ready to charge again. We briefly locked eyes, and he froze. Looking like a blind man seeing the sun for the first time." Ursula explained.

Jacob's eyes widened.

I raced behind Jacob and Bella. Keeping to the trees. When we arrived at what I assumed to be the alpha's house, I kept close but not too close. It took everything I had not to snarled in anger when I saw Paul. I could tell from his posture that Jacob was struggling with the same.

What caught me off guard was the female wolf stepping out of the house. She stopped in front of Bella, with a expression of anger mixed in with something else set on her face.

"If you're here to torture Jacob some more, feel free to leave." She said before walking away.

"Fun, isn't she?" Jacob asked sarcastically.

I waited until the Alpha was present before I made myself known.

"I wouldn't go anywhere just yet guys," Jacob said to the ones who were about to run off. "Especially you, Paul."

I grinned at the sight of Paul looking uncomfortable.

"Why don't tell everyone what happened to you, Paul. Or...maybe I should?" Jacob offered, sounding a little angry.

"Paul? Is there something you need to tell us?" Sam asked.

"No."

I sneered in anger.

"You see, you thought you could hide her, but you were wrong." Jacob said, before letting a sharp whistle out.

I lept out of the tree, and landed on Jacob's right. I stood, with a straight face.

"What're you doing here?" Sam asked, pushing his imprint behind him.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I thought imprints were aloud on the reservation. Or am I not aloud....since Paul retracted the imprint?" I asked, crossing my arms.

All the pack members turned towards Paul.

"Paul.....tell us you didn't." Sam's imprint asked.

"Oh he did," I spat. "He said, 'I, Paul Lahote, hereby reject you as my imprint.' Right after I apologized for jeopardizing my portion of the treaty."
