I walked out the front doors. The bright sun making me squint a little. I put my hood up and looked at the team.
There was a new person. He was in a blue suit.
"Blue Beetle," he said with a smirk.
His smirk and manner made me oddly uncomfortable.
"So you guys wanted me to come out into the sun... to meet someone new," I asked?
His smile disappeared.
I took that as an I shouldn't have said that.
"So, ah. Where are we going," I tried changing the subject.
Kori took that as an opportunity to jump in.
"Happy Harbor Rhode Island. You're going to meet some friends of ours," she said cheering up. She then drew her attention to Blue Bettle. "Blue, you have the coordinates?"
"Yes," he said. Apparently, he moved on from my rude comment.
Blue Bettle put his arm up and a large blue portal appeared.
The group gave glances to me. Probably to see my reaction.
Though my face was blank. Even to me, that was odd. I usually would have more of a reaction, but right now I didn't feel much. Just a tad bit of rage sitting in my stomach.
Blue Bettle stepped aside and Kori walked through, then Robin, after Beast Boy, then Robin.
I walked up to the portal and looked at Blue Beetle.
"Sorry about my comment, I didn't think you would take so badly toward it," I told him.
"No, it wasn't you. I just heard that quote from someone who died," he said.
I wasn't expecting that answer and quickly felt sympathetic to him.
"Oh," I said bleakly. I didn't know what else to say so I jumped in the portal.
Everything changed around me in an instant and looked like I was in a cave that was modified.
"This is her," said a deep voice.
I looked at The Flash and felt scared. "Augh," I said looking at him.
"Mrs. Cathrin," he asked me?
"Yes," I said and took a step forward as Blue Beetle stepped in behind me.
The portal quickly closed behind him.
I looked at him as he passed me to join the team.
"You're a Meta-human if I'm not mistaken?"
"Yes, why," I asked if he was going to ask me a question I should be able to ask him one.
I felt vulnerable having a group of trained heroes in front of me while I was only a well-trained gymnast.
"We want to run some tests on your abilities. Just to know what you can do," he said.
"So if I turn bad you can take me down right," I said to him.
It looked like he didn't know what to say.
"It's fine. We can run the tests," I said. "Lead the way Flash."
I waited and there was a bright flash. Then I was in another room.
He held me up as my feet feel out from under me. "Woe... I don't think speed in my thing. At least on the ground," I said.
I finally stood up on my own and he started grabbing some stuff.
