Her main myth is still kinda unpopular, since everybody likes Heracles and Jason so much....
When Hera asked Hypnos to put Zeus to sleep so Hera could work behind his back. When Zeus found out he was pissed, so he chased Hypnos around the world with thunder. He would have driven Hypnos into the sea if he hadn't ran to Nyx. She made Zeus say he was sorry and stop chasing her son, which proves that Nyx is scaryass powerful.
One legend claims Nyx lives in Tartarus with her daughters and brother- Erebus, Aether, Hemera, and Eos. During the day, Nyx leaves Tartarus (while Hemera was returning) and flies up out of the pit. Erebus (the Titan personifying Dawn) then sets out and retrieves Nyght. When they come home to Tartarus, Hemera leavesand scatters Aether (light) thus, revealing making it day. Apollo then takes Selene's (the moon's) place in the sky and shine brightly as the sun. Later Eos (the goddess of dusk) came along and gave them a break. After that when Hemera arrived, Eos would leave then Nyx would leave.
