Y/N'S POV
The room was still darkened from the lack of outside light. Lauren laid sound asleep, curled into my side with her head resting on my shoulder. The tip of her nose brushed against my neck and with every even breath, I felt the small gush of wind travel down the skin, sending an involuntary shutter down my spine. It was a normal early Saturday morning, in which I had sadly woken up before the sun even had a chance to rise. Although it surprised me, I wasn't tired. Lauren and I had spent the night beneath the sheets so we were both worn out, but for some odd reason even with only a couple hours of sleep I was feeling just fine.
I stared at the ceiling above us, nothing on my mind, nothing to listen to, nothing to see. In all honesty I expected my day to turn to shit in a matter of seconds because I knew after Lucy caught us in the equipment room, she went straight to my mother to report what she had seen. I was expecting a lecture from my mom any time soon but at this point I couldn't be bothered to care. Lauren shifted against me for a couple of seconds before stilling again, a deep breath falling from her lips. Now her small snores could be heard throughout the room and I couldn't help but smile at the sound. I carefully turned on my side to face the smaller girl before starting to rub her back. Lauren subconsciously cuddled further into my neck.
From the nightstand I could hear my phone constantly vibrating, signaling that somebody was calling me. I just figured it was my mom already so I ignored it. I closed my eyes, hoping I could get more sleep but my body wouldn't allow me to go back to bed. As the sun rose and the room slowly became brighter, I slipped from Lauren's hold so that I could go do something productive. I went around my room looking for a clean pair of boxers and a t-shirt before I slipped both on to head out of my room. I softly closed the door behind me and made my way into the kitchen. I grabbed a quick bowl of cereal knowing that I wouldn't cook for a while since Lauren would sleep in later than usual. When I made my bowl of cereal I placed it on the table before going to grab my laptop and sitting down at the table. As I ate I mindlessly browsed anything that crossed my mind, until the conversation I had with Lauren popped up.
If we were really going to have our own business, I don't know how we would manage. I'm sure Ally would let us borrow equipment until we had our own things but I didn't think we'd be able to have our own studio right off the bat. Having our own business seemed like the best idea in all honesty. I wouldn't have to report to anyone. Plus having the love of my life by my side through it all made it seem that much better. I looked into what it would cost for our own equipment and what we would need to do before opening our own business. The longer I did my research the more it seemed like it would get done. It took so much to start a business that I didn't know if Lauren still wanted to do it. I made a mental note to talk to her about it just as I finished my cereal. I took my bowl to the sink to wash it off before I heard a knock on my door. I rolled my eyes, figuring it was my mom so as I went to open the door, I was surprised to see Lucy standing there.
My eyebrow rose subconsciously at the sight. I didn't know why she was here, let alone this early. The brown eyed girl smiled shyly at me but I kept my face impassive. "What do you want?" I finally spoke up once Lucy didn't say anything. She looked surprised by my question but she cleared her throat slightly before speaking up.
"I just uh, wanted to come check up on you I guess." She shrugged her shoulders and tried to smile at me again. I crossed my arms over my chest and made sure that the door was only opened enough for me to stand there. I didn't need her trying to look inside and I especially didn't need her seeing Lauren if she woke up. Lucy shrank under my gaze. "Okay I just wanted to know who that was in the closet with you yesterday." She avoided my eyes as I scoffed.
