This quote is now my life motto because this book is about WW2. It is a satire that makes fun of the power structures that are created during war between generals to colnels(don't know if that's spelled right). And then on to officers to regular soldiers. And this quote comes from a single man who by almost the end of the book all of his friends are practically dead. He causes so much trouble either trying to die or get sent home out of combat. If you like political commentary on WW2 this is a great book.
