Poppy's phone buzzed against the coffee table, she sighed and picked it up

"Hello?"

"Oh god poppy, thank god, I was so worried about you."

"Hey Luke."

"Where are you?"

"At home"

"What? Liam?"

"He said he was sorry, he didn't mean it, he was just angry."

"Are you fucking kidding me?"

"I'm sorry Luke."

"Don't. I hope you enjoy getting your ass beat by that fucker. I won't be there to save you next time."

The line ended and poppy put the phone down, she frowned and looked at Liam, he was peacefully asleep across the bed, she smiled softly and stood up

"I'm sorry Liam."

She put her ring on his desk and grabbed her bag, she left the house and went to Luke's

The rain poured down and soaked through Poppy's coat, she shivered and banged her fist against the big wooden door, she sniffled

The door swung open, Luke stood tall, he was wearing a black suit and his hair was perfectly styled

"Poppy?"

She sobbed and looked up at him

"I'm sorry, I was going to take him back, but when you said what you said I came to my senses, I was so stupid."

He sighed and went to grab her bag, she shook her head and backed away

"I'm not staying."

He looked at her and shook his head

"Yes you are, come inside now."

"No, I'm leaving, I just came to say goodbye and thank you."

Luke took a step outside and grabbed her arm, she pulled away and pushed him

"Go back inside, you'll ruin your suit and hair"

He sighed and ran his hands down his face

"Please Poppy, you can't leave. I don't want to lose you again."

"I'm sorry."

She turned and walked away, Luke walked after her and spun her around

"I love you Poppy, I can't let you go again."

"You're married."

"We're getting divorced."

She sighed and shook her head

"I love you too, but this isn't right."

She sobbed and hugged him, he held her tightly

He pulled away and leaned in, gently placing a kiss against her lips, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back

After a couple seconds they pulled away, she looked up at him and smiled softly

"Goodbye."

She turned and walked away, Luke watched her as tears ran down his face, the rain covered that up though.

"Bye Poppy."
