Since at some point, they're we're samurais. And they used katanas (or any Japanese samurai weapon I don't know of).
Then they're Knights of Medival Europe that use longsword, maces and other Medival weaponry.
But for soldiers from the Renaissance that use fencing weapons, the saber, rapier and etc. What do you call them?
