As time passed by, you eventually woke up, bound in a dark cell. Shaking off your wooziness, you took a closer look. By the way the binds in you felt, it must've been simple rope. The cell you were in lacked window, only a door in front you. Moving your arms and legs revealed that only your hands and legs were bound simple rope. You sighed. Sometimes the blackscale guild were a bunch of idiots. As you concentrated, you felt your body bulked up as the familiar transformation process took place. A moment later, two broken ropes and a stone dragon were in the cell, instead of a bound you. You quickly turned back and faced the cell door. It looked pretty standard, meaning that this couldn't be The BlackScale Guild. They would never have such simple locks or such simple doors. You sighed and took a knife from a hidden sheath in your sleeve and started to pick the lock, getting through in a matter of moments. Opening the door, you saw nobody around. Where were you? As you walked around, searching for an exit, it became apparent that you were underground, from the dank smell. You rubbed the bump on your neck as you looked around, trying to see where you were. It seemed that this place was a circle, with no entry or exit. Looking around, you saw nothing. You shook your head, annoyed. You were a former member of the BlackScale Guild, you were taught better then this! You calmed down a bit and took out you knife, tapping the walls of the chamber. Absolutely no part of the walls were hollow. Groaning, you looked up and stopped. Right above you was a wooden trapdoor. You almost threw your knife across the room in annoyance. A TRAPDOOR! How did you not see that earlier? You brushed off your anger and stood on your tippy toes and grabbed the handle of the trapdoor, pulling it down. A ladder quickly fell down, which you barely caught, avoiding a ton of noise.
"Geez..." you climbed up the ladder, revealing yourself to be in some sort of cellar. Confused, you slowly climbed out of the cellar. You were inside some kind of kitchen. Probably in a fortress judging from the massive size. Getting up, you slowly made your way to the exit of the kitchen, before the door slammed open, and you barely managed to get behind a counter in time to avoid being spotted as a group of people stormed past your position, into the cellar. Watching their movements, you started to speed walk out of the kitchen. You were greeted with a dining room with stone walls, which was empty. The stone walls revealed to you that you were in a fortress, or castle. You started to make your way through halls, avoiding sight from the occasional person. After about five minutes of sneaking, you made your way to a throne room. Sitting in the throne was an elder man, wearing a golden crown, decked with jewels. He twirled a staff around in his hand as he listened to three cloaked figures. It didn't take a genius to realize who they were.
"So, if I give you rights to use my land as ritual grounds, you'll pay me?" The elder man spoke, looking amused.
"Not only that, but the rewards we will reap from this ritual, they will go to you!" The first Guild Member spoke in a rushed and desperate voice.
"And those rewards are?" The king responded, laughter evident in his eyes.
"Power! Fame! Anything you want!" The first Member spoke again, beginning to sound irritated. The king let out an audible chuckle before responding.
"Well, I will allow-" The door slammed open, and a man in a dragon scale cloak burst in, mad.
"Excuse me, King Auburn, for the interruption, but I must ask my men a question." He spoke. The king waved his hand dismissively.
"Ask away, Lucious." The name clicked in your head immediately. Lucious Black, the new leader of the guild.
"Why, my dear loyal men, is our prisoner missing?" Lucious asked the three in front of him. They all looked startled.
"What? We had him bound and knocked out, there is no way he should've escaped!" The second one spoke, now scared for his life.
"Really? What did you bind him with?"
"We used rope! What else would we-" the third man was cut off as Lucious grabbed him and lifted him by the neck.
"And what were you thinking, binding a dragon shifter with rope?" He spoke in a deadly calm voice. When the man didn't answer, Lucious scoffed and dropped him before exiting the room.
"Everyone, search the Castle! We have a runaway!" You heard Lucious' voice grow distant as the king continued his sentence.
"As I was saying, I'll grant you the land you desire, now leave my hall." The king demanded. The three scurried out of the room. The king sighed and laid back.
"You May come out now, rouge shifter." You stood still a moment before walking out of your hiding spot. The kings eyes landed on your own, worry filled ones.
"Worry not, rouge. I never liked the Dragon Shifter guilds, But now I am forced to help them." The king pinched the bridge of his nose as you spoke up.
"So why are you helping me?" The king laughed.
"Believe me, my hatred of the Guilds makes your escape from them admirable. You're welcome here in Vale all you want, though the BS guild wouldn't like that." You nodded in agreement.
"So, Just a moment." He reaches into his pocket and pulled out a coin, which he flipped in your direction. You caught it.
"Show that to my guards, and they will assist you in what you need, but for now, find one and ask for the armory. Your weapons have been burned, but I took the leisure of keeping a few items, which are being kept in the armory. Make haste, and purge this land of the filth that is what you once were." You bowed at the kings words and silently walked back the way you came. Now to find a castle guard.
So.... this is pretty short and rushed, but so am I. I've nothing special to say right now.... So Baii!
