*time skip to the sport festival*
Midoriya POV

"Izuku, good morning! You need to wake up!" My mother's voice woke me up at 7:30 o'clock.
I opened my eyes slowly, I wanted to stay in my bed forever. I didn't want to go to school and learn.

I turned my head and looked at my calendar which was on my dresser. Just a short glance was enough to make me energetic again.

Today I'm not going to learn at school.

I changed my clothes fast and brushed my teeth.

Today is the day.
Today I'm going to give everything I have and do everything I can in order to show the world what I'm capable to do. This is my first step towards my goal.
I will become the ״number one hero״.

I took my bag and went downstairs. My mom already waited for me there next to the door.
"I-I'm going to watch you on the TV" she said, he voice full of excitement and concern.
"Please be careful and take care of yourself", she looked like she was about to cry from both worry and proudness.

"I will be fine, don't worry" I said with a smile.
She hugged me before giving me a small food bag for the way.
"Good bye" I said as I exited the house.
"Good bye" she called after me.

***

A lot of people gathered at the stadium and filled hundreds of seats. Aizawa sensei told us that the audience might be bigger this time.
It made sense, after all, the rumors about our class (1-A) fighting against the villains spread very fast among the citizens in this town.
But still, the huge amount of people made me kind of nervous.

Not to mention the representatives from the hero companies who are here to watch us.

This thought definitely didn't help me to calm down.

While I was stressing myself out with my thoughts, Iida saw me and headed my way.
I was so glad when I saw him appear right next to me out of nowhere, because he distracted my mind from my stressful thoughts. He immediately started to talk about how curious he was, he wondered about what we will need to do and whether we'll need to cooperate with other student or not.

While talking we went to the waiting room, most of the students in our class already were there.
Kacchan, orange as usual, was sitting there too, on an iron chair next to the table.
To be honest, part of me wanted to step up to him and talk to him. I wanted to ask him what he knows about this light. I couldn't act as if it was nothing.

A week ago, after I was done with my training, I decided to ask All Might- who was helping me- about the orange light.
"All Might, can I ask you a question?" I asked him.
"Of course!" he answered with his usual smile.
"What do you want to ask? Is it about your power?"
"Actually... no" I said and looked into his eyes.

What if he doesn't know what it means?
What if it's have nothing to do with One For All?
After all, Kacchan was able to see this light too.

He looked at me, curious. Waiting for me to explain myself.
"Lately I... I started to see something weird..." I stopped for a moment.
"I don't know why it's happening or how it's even possible, but at the past few days I can see a strange light which surrounds Kacchan. And I wondered if you know what it means, or why it's happening" I said and took a deep breath.

After I said it out loud, I understood how stupid it sounded.
A strange light that surrounds people? There is no way that someone will believe me.

But to my very surprise, All Might's smile got bigger (I didn't even thought it was possible), and he asked me;" Did he talk to you about it?".

I tilted my head a little while thinking,
"Well... he did asked me if I saw a light around him, but when I said yes he just turned around and walked away. I think he was angry".

All Might chuckled and patted my head,
"Don't worry, I'm sure he will tell you what it means soon enough".
"Can't you tell me?" I asked him in confusion.
"Believe me, he should be the one telling you that" he had an amused look on his face when he said that, and it confused me even more.

~back to the present~

Kirishima was talking to Kacchan, he was standing beside him and moved his hands while explaining his words.
I didn't hear what they were talking about, but for some reason I felt my heart squeezes in pain.

I hate this feeling.
Why do I even feel it? They're friends, they can talk to each other. I have nothing to do with it... nothing...

...I need to focus!

Kacchan had a serious look on his face, he wasn't playing games. He was ready to give his best in the sport festival.
I need to be serious too.
I can't let myself lose this opportunity.
And I can't let myself wonder about this orange light forever.

I snapped out of my thoughts when Uraraka entered the waiting room and joined me and Iida.

I will forget about Kacchan for the next couple of hours, I thought firmly.

But after the sport festival, I will gather all the courage I have and I will talk to him.

This time, I won't leave him until I'll get my answers.

Ugh... I need to hold myself back really hard in order to not skip all the way forward to the part when Midoria already knows about the soulmate thing ;-;
Even though it's not so far away, but still XD

I hope this chapter wasn't too short ><
But the next one will (probably) be longer and will contain a progress in their relationship ^^ ;)

Oh, and THANK YOU sooo much for reading this story! I can't believe that it got 1K views >\\\\<
